An epilogue would be good

Awesome story really well written I couldn't stop reading. Wouldn't mind reading what happens with tom and Doreen and if tom and his step daughter reconnect as at least friends it would be a shame if they never spoke again. Connie is a great character and I was blown away by how real she seemed. Keep up the great work.

I'll bookmark it and see if I get in a funky mood to read it later... By reading a ways on the first page I got the bad feeling that its not a happy ending story, so Im putting off reading it. I just have a hard time reading stories if they dont... Its like watching an epic chinese martial arts movie, everyone dies in the end, lol, the movie was great but the hero doesnt get the girl and almost everyone gets killed, lol.

Yes, we're talking about fictional characters, but page 9 fucking hurt. Right up to Tom going to get Doreen's overnight bag it still hurt. Don't let anyone tell you this story was too long, even an Editor willing to publish it. Very well done.
