It also reminds me greatly of some horror flick of the late nineties - the one with Liam Neeson? But of course, this story is much better in conception, lol

I have to admit, I almost didn't finish reading the story. The ghost's control over and treatment of Penny really got to me. I'm glad I did finish the story, though. Good triumphed over evil! Penny's a resourceful sensitive and knew to call upon her inner reserves of energy and the protection that is probably always with her. It just took her some time to realize that she always had the power. Bravo for her! Dr. Andrews scared me with his manipulations, but the ghost terrified and chilled me to the soul. Either you know a thing or two about the subject (do you?) or you did your research and have a vivid mind! The setting and atmospheric descriptions were tangible. Brr!

it would be better if you would have mentioned what kind of creature the ghost was

idea of a human overpowering the ghost doesnt seem well.it can be more intresting if penelopy turned out to be a mythycal being. like a succubus
