It would be like her, I muse to myself, to come charging in to save the day. I just hope Sebastien has enough good sense to stop her from trying. Gods know someone has to.
Somehow, thinking of her gives me the push I need to rise to my feet and do something about our situation. I resolve to get us all out of here, one way or the other. If for no other reason than to return to Jez and smother her mouth with mine before she can rub it in my face that she was right and I was wrong. I pin that future in my mind like a picture to the wall.
