Only Comlaint is too long between Chapters!

Had to go back & re-read some of the other ones to figure out who a couple people were. Please keep them coming, and more often!

Glad Ben is back

Great story, fun read. Only criticism I have is, because it has been so long since the last story some of these characters showed up in, it takes some time to remember who is who. Also the fact that there are so many characters, it may be a good idea to add a short index at the start of a story. Doesn't need to be one at the start of every chapter, just maybe at the start of each store arch.

Another WINNER!

Really enjoy this tall tale...each chapter a story unto itself. Thanks for the great entertainment.

Yeah!!!

Another frenzy of mayhem for Ben. Would it be too sadistic for us readers to have a betting pool for Ben's next series of escapades at surving wounds and injuries?

Let's see now....heading south?

I give 4 yo 1 odds on Ben whipping an alligator with a handful of water moccasins.

10 to 1 odds on Ben whipping a Tiger Shark with a handful of electric eels.

Any suggestions to add to the punters list?

love it

You're starting to build out some more of these characters. Would have liked to see more of the Karen Penny interaction with the Twins....like when they discover that Papa is having relations with the twins and feel left out.

Love it!

One of the best written series here. Love the characters and relationships between them. There is actual life in this story rather than him wandering from one sexcapade to the next. So, so happy that this series is continuing.

Thanks

Another great chapter in the life of Ben. I love your work and can't wait for the next chapter. I have always loved stories with a harem in it, but few delve as deeply into the tangled web of emotions that go into such a relationship. I found a diamond when I stumbled across the first Shepard story and am glad to say that it keeps getting better.

PS: With all his time spent in the public eye there is no doubt his ex hasn't heard of it. Really looking forward to their reunion whenever that takes place, it's gonna be an emotional land mine for the shepherd and his flock.

PPS: I know it's too much to ask but can he have a trip without the near death experiences.

i hope gabriella isnt leaving ben and the neighborhood. the core 3 (gab cat and tina) need to stay put. everyone else is just filler to add to the experience. anything major happening to those three, like moving across the world, would wreck the balance thats been set up.

I hope...

I sincerely hope that this is only a short hiatus away from Gabriella and Catherine. They are two of my favourite characters, and frankly, two core characters that require more development and storyline(s). There are already too many to begin with, and it's starting to get a bit tedious seeing brand new characters seemingly every 5th page. That being said, I have enjoyed the story so far. Surprisingly to me, I found this chapter to engage me as the reader the least out of previous chapters. I hope it's not a trend.

Wow, Did not Dissapoint

First, I want to say thank you for continuing this story. I loved the direction you took, even if the sheer quantity of women is rather staggering. One criticism I hope you take as constructive is that I feel like Ben never has to do any work, all of these women cum so quickly, I felt like I wanted you to slow down in some of the more intimate moments, it feels like they start having sex and she cums within 3 sentences most of the time. Again, great story, loved the club bit especially.

Help with characters

Fantastic, Really glad you are back at it.

However, with so much time between sequels and so many characters, I am having trouble remembering who is who. I have had to go back and search through previous stories. I think it would be great if you provided a list and description of characters in the next chapter or as a separate posting.

None-the-less, please keep up the great work.

A Good Story - Too many Love Interests

I love the Shepard series that has been built. It isn't too fantastic to be unbelievable but it is greater than life, so that it is enjoyable. I agree with some of the comments that say there are too many characters. I mean for love interests for Ben we have Gabriella, Catherine, Tina, Trish, Hannah, Rochelle, Ashley, the Twins. For potential love interests we now have his adopted daughters as well. Granted Gabriella's new job might throw a kink into the mix, which should be interesting writing to see how Ben and her will deal with that.

Another commentor mentioned Wendy, given his public profile I wouldn't have any doubts that she might start having second thoughts. I hope the next chapter will be fun and enjoyable!

Good to see the Shepherd back

Have really enjoyed this series of stories as I'm always intrigued by where it will go or where you take it especially with Ben getting seemingly close to a melt down. Will be keeping an eye out for the next chapter.

Series continuation

Looking forward to this series continuation. Would like to see him have a "break-thru" sometime soon to get past the fugue states and his insecurities. That is getting a little tedious. Except for that a great story line and a good adventure. Love the characters.

I've really enjoyed these stories...

This guy's life is definitely "larger than life"... It's not that he doesn't have regular moments but he also has so many " how un/lucky can one man be...?"

I *also* worry about Wendy showing up again... I hope if she does, he is willing to point out to her that he loves her now, always has and always will... But truly can't have anything to do with her...

At some point I'd like to have Gabriella's cousin (the blind one whose name escapes me) come back into the picture... I can picture her angst when she learns the damage her work or art has done (and continues TO do) to the model... And of course, Ben being Ben, his letting go of SOME of that anxiety when he realizes how much it hurts her... Did I mention the obvious of him falling in love with her too...?

But hey, you're the author... Write on and, if like all of the rest of this story, I'll continue to enjoy...

AnonymousAnonymousabout 8 years ago

I'm really getting tired of this story.the story has alot of chapters but still no explanation about ben's past and i expected that if you did not explain the black out you could atleast explain why he gets violent when being praised and it also looks to me that you are favouring some relationship and neglecting some for example nothing has being said about beth for a while now and to me his relationship with trish did not get a lot of spot light i mean he and his other girls went on a vacation and i hoped this ch. would be about the other women in his life but since they are goin on a trip i hope they spend sometime in the spotlight and i hope something happens with hannah i really like her

Also I think it would be better if Ben had some closure on Wendy....please introduce her in some form or the other...

Mixed Review

Great story line. Hard to feel sorry for Ben as he puts himself in some dumb situations. Who doesn't 't notice a big guy with 4 beautiful ladies and then making out in semi-public. If he doesn't want attraction then cool it...

Great Story, But...

I'm really enjoying your story, but I am getting a bit tired of all the media attention. I have a hard time believing that everything Ben does would get picked up by the media as if they were obsessed with him. Sure, there might be some small level of recognition, but the sculpture and the nightclub in particular are stretching my credulity beyond where it's comfortable being stretched. I understand it makes a useful way to give Ben more stress, but I think it might be overused by now. You have lots of other jerks available for him to go up against and then get unwanted recognition from. Use them, instead.

Ben

Ben does not have to fuck every other woman he sees. It is very misogynist to slerp wolith 2 women in the same bed on a regular basis. This is very degrading. If you want him to have several women at least let him hsve then one at a time most of tthe time

You have a talent for both erotica and human nature. The insights to what people do and say and also react is shown throughout the stories you write. Oh how we muck up sometimes without thinking, and sometimes we bring about glowing strength and happiness. Thank you for your insight and the bravo to point all out. Thanks again.GP

Easily my favorite character. I love her seamless teamwork with Tina. Twins are a close second....tall, sleek, fit, B cup redheads.

Great Continuation...

….but completely overuse of Ben's sexual capacity and physical skills! Can't Ben go anywhere without a violent or noxious incident? This guy deserves a break some time. But Thanx for the Read!

The plot is great and I enjoy the development of the participants. Sadly it has become a litany of sexual excesses, even for Literotica. Still deserves 5*’s.

Feels like a lot of the story is missing. Big gap between Tina and Lucy leaving Paris and Ben back at home. What happened during the rest of the time in France.????

Ben's "Fugue" state, when he fights is a real situation.

I'm not a fighter nor do I know any martial arts. I've been bullied because I would rather walk than fight. I was being bullied a lightweight boxing 'champ' and he wouldn't stop. He'd beat me before and I let him. the second time, he punched in the nose. I blanked out - The next thing I knew I was being pulled away from him by 3 large men. I had lifted boxer a foot off the ground and was smashing his head against a steel pole. I remember wanting to kill the F*cker. This has happened through my life. I rode Outlaw MC for over 10 years but never beat anyone. I've stood down Stoned Bikers holding the pointy end of a sawn off 12g double barrel in my face. I am Celtic and been told that in another time I would have been called 'Baesark' or a Berserker. It's real, trust me.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

I am glad that the author has toned down the unreal actions of women in later stories. I read as much of this one as my feelings could take and then I fast forwarded to the end. I do like so much but I must feel that a somewhat real ending is going to happen. Others seek what they will, this is, after all, just innocent fiction. Right? No one expects reality to be like this???

this installment finds our hero, Ben, getting all set up for this Vacation trip, ... interesting, ... ;-) TTFN

AnonymousAnonymousover 1 year ago

It's pretty close to some realities. Daddy dick, wealthy hedonism blah blah... It comes up short though in the actual human emotional portrayals. One must understand what being human is actually like to effectively portray it. One example is Karen and Penny's apparent lack of permanent core damage due to the childhood traumas alone. Humans know what I mean. That part of the story really bothers me and I wish the moderators had caught it.

Otherwise a fun story to read though playa...

BurntRedstone (BR) usually has an interesting, entertaining story – if not always believable. The Ben Shepherd series is one of my favorites of his many good works. I think the reason that I like it best is that the characters emotions show through and most of them are not one-dimensional fuck dolls or such. I get some emotional context. They have feelings and lives. Character development and emotional context are stronger for some characters than others of course. A few of his other books may measure up to the Shepherd series in this area but not many.

The first few books also illustrate BR’s ability to write a great sex scene. Story pace could have been increased if there were less people in his harem and not every sex scene was described in detail.

The following is my opinion about some of the characters in this series and are no better or worse than the next person’s. Perhaps these opinions may be of interest to the author though. Note that I consider these to be minor spoilers to not only this book but future Shepherd books. You should read no further if that matters to you.

Ben loves all his huge harem equally – with all his heart. I think that is nonsense. Good parents love all their children, but I have seldom seen parents that did not have favorites – no matter what they said or would want to be like. I think Ben’s favorites are his first ring bearers: Gabriella, Tina, Cat, and Trish.

Gabriella had potential. I could have seen her shacking up with Ben and him being a father to her children. But that didn’t happen. Gabriella didn’t want his child at all and seems to care about her business at least as much as she does him. So, I’m not that interested in her.

Cat is beautiful and full of life. Yet, the one that she chose to live with was a woman rather than the protagonist. That turned me off to her, but everyone has a right to their own opinion. How often Cat may be involved with Ben after this lady lover is hard to tell.

Tina is probably Ben’s favorite. She lives with him and always has his best interest in mind. However, she also manipulates him at times. For instance, she refuses to marry him until he sees the doctor that basically held him prisoner strapped to a table. Yeh. Who would want to marry someone like that?

Trish - I like her a lot. She is so passionate. She also loves him. She apparently doesn’t want his child either, but other than that, she seems willing to die to protect him. How cool is that? And BR goes far to develop her character and her emotional context. She is definitely one of my favorites.

The beautiful red-headed twins are also among my favorites. They deserve rings. “You are mine.”… but not worthy of a ring? The twins seem mostly an example of submissive sex toys. I wish BR had developed their character more, but still, they make fabulous submissive sex toys.

Lucy is pretty one-dimensional even though she lives with Ben and has his child. Without further development of her character, she can’t be my favorite.

I thought some of the romantic scenes with Sophie McGovern were fabulous. (At least they were romantic from her perspective.) I really liked that. However, Sophie’s character was not developed after that. Ben fucked her once and dropped her like a hot iron. Apparently, he didn’t care that much about Cat’s daughters.

Gretchen seemed interesting for a short while. …Ironic that Ben did not jump her bones.

BR did do a good job of developing Ashley’s character, but I was surprised how she flirted with another man. That seemed out of character for her to me. The major religions that I am aware of (including Christianity) don’t support a woman being sexually involved with multiple men. Something could have developed between Ashley and Ben (her kids would have approved), but it seems to be only friend-with-benefits between them.

I remain surprised how he refuses to have sex with Liliya. I would have thought that Rose would have brought them together long ago. Particularly, as Ben had repeatedly failed to resist a woman’s interest in the past. He actually seems more interested in Evelyn.

Ben has probably had sex with 20 or more people already, but those are some of the major players as I see them. Personally, I don’t see how he could do his work for the military and civilians, fulfill his household responsibilities, see to his own children, and give his harem the time that they should have. But this is a part of the story you just have to go along with.

I wonder why Grandpa Sturn hasn't involved himself in his grandchildren's lives, after the unfortunate death of his son.

tsgtcapttsgtcapt9 months ago

Maybe Grandpa Sturn has wisely decided that his parenting skills are not the skills needed at this juncture in time.... wonderful story line; though, do eevneed all the extra females being added? Could we see Ben simply take responsibility for those he already has in the stable/harem and watch them grow up?

Love this or any story about Ben Sheppard! 5 BIG ASS FUCKING HUGE FLAMING NOVA STARS!

AnonymousAnonymous6 months ago

Ben is a smart man. Why doesn’t he learn from his experience with the sculpture, and stay out of places like the dance clubs where he is likely to be photographed? And learn to avoid getting turned on in public? Adults learn those things, but he has a pattern. Or the author needs him to keep making stupid mistakes to drive the plot?

AnonymousAnonymous5 months ago

Granted, Ben is dealing with issues of mental illness, but he seems incapable of learning from past experiences. He knows paparazzi are looking for him, so he puts himself out in plain view, with sexy underdressed young women. Why?

He has problems with the psychiatrist he’s seeing, but does he tell her what his problem is? Does he seek an alternative doctor? No to either.

He may be a hotshot engineer, but he’s not reall very bright.
