Great story. If it was romance I'd assume that He and his secretary would end up living happily ever after. But it's Noir, so I'm guessing he not only won't end up with her, but that she'll be killed, or worse.

Does he end up with Jess? I'm guessing noir=no.

I'm just wild about Harry

and Jess and Sydney and Lexie and Detective Murray... and Chloe Tzang, without whose challenge Mr. Chasten most likely would not have written their story.

An entertaining story UNLESS that was the end. Then it's another frustrating tale with no end.

I certainly hope all is well with your family, and I completely understand the delay. Family comes before hobbies.

Great pacing and plot advancement. Loved how he broke down Sydney/Gia and got her to talk, as well as how he took out Brady. Harry wasn't the "punching bag" he was in Ch 1--which was a very nice improvement! I'd like to see how things progress with Jess, as she's obviously quite the handful! 5

This Is very different to the usual fare on Lit - and all the better for it. An intriguing plot, extremely well written by a talented author. I’m hooked!
