Author's Note

So this is a little different to all of my other stories. I wanted to try something new and expand the "Twistedverse" that my stories are contained in.

This has the potential to become a series.

This chapter has some gay and straight scenes in so be warned!

Meeting Gabe

Adam stood in front of a mirror, getting ready to go and meet his date. It was a girl he had been speaking to on an online dating website.

He looked at himself, giving his short brown hair a little push to the side and straightened up the black shirt that he was wearing, which matched his black jeans. Most of his clothes were just plain black, he found it easier to decide what to wear when it was all the same colour.

Also, with his slim frame, he thought black made him look better.

He had dark green eyes that for some reason seemed to be shining a little stronger that night.

Okay Adam, you can do this, he said to himself.

His whole life he had been a nervous wreck around girls. He couldn't explain it, he just felt like he had no confidence whatsoever. Most of his nights or weekends were spent with his small group of mates playing games or watching movies. He learnt after turning 18 that going out to meet girls was not a way he was going to succeed. So he tried his hand at a dating website.

Luckily for Adam his parents were both out so he didn't have to face the embarrassment of them teasing him for going on a date.

He ran downstairs, hopped into a taxi and set off for the bar he was meeting Suzanne at.

It was a cold night, growing close to winter, but as he got closer into the centre of town he still saw woman walking around looking half naked.

I'm freezing cold in jeans and a shirt, he thought, how do these girls go out in skirts that barely cover any skin?

Although he wasn't complaining about getting to stare at beautiful women, it just confused him.

Stepping into the bar, a huge sigh of relief washed over the young man when he realised his date hadn't stood him up.

Suzanne looked as beautiful as her online pictures, long blonde hair, slim figure and beautiful blue eyes.

With one last little internal pep talk, Adam walked over to her with a smile.

"Suzanne?" Adam asked as he reached her table.

"Yes, Adam?" She asked with a smile that melted Adam's heart.

"That's me." He replied.

When Suzanne stood up to greet him with a hug Adam couldn't help but get a huge smell of her intoxicating perfume.

He awkwardly, lightly hugged her before pulling away.

Come on, don't be so nervous!

"Do you want a drink?" Adam asked.

"Oh, I'll have a white wine please?" Suzanne asked, flashing him her perfectly white teeth.

"Back in a sec." Adam replied.

Annoyingly though it took him forever to get served at the bar. People would push in front of him, shoulder barge him so he got out of the way. And Adam let them. He stood still and waited his turn.

When he returned to table he saw Suzanne texting on her phone.

"Hey, sorry there was a big que." Adam said and put the drinks down.

"Don't worry about it." She said and took a sip of her wine.

"So," Adam said as he sat down, "did you get here okay?"

Did you get here okay? Not exactly charming!

"Erm, yeah, thanks." Suzanne said. It would've been easy for her to laugh at Adam's dumb question, but she just gave him another cute smile.

Come on, come on, say something! Adam thought to himself, he glanced at Suzanne's direction a couple of times, made awkward eye contact and then looked away, god this is torture! She must be hating this!

"So what do you like to do?" Suzanne eventually asked, breaking the silence.

"What do you mean?" Adam asked her back.

"Well, do you work? Do you have any hobbies?" Suzanne continued, seemingly battling to start a conversation.

"Oh right, yeah," Adam sighed, how do people be so confident with girls?! "I work in IT, just a junior now but hopefully I can work my way up."

"Oh wow," Suzanne replied and took another sip of her drink, "you must be pretty clever then?"

"I don't know about that," Adam told her, "I can code a software easy enough, but ask me about any kind of sport and I won't have a clue."

Great. Great bloody answer there Adam, he sighed to himself sarcastically.

"Oh thank god." Suzanne replied with a little, adorable giggle.

"What?" Adam asked, mimicking her laugh to not be too awkward.

"My ex was obsessed with football," She explained, "every day he would take over the TV and watch any game that was on, I can't go through that again. I don't get it, it's just guys kicking a ball."

Adam couldn't help but laugh at her answer, it was exactly the same as how he felt about the sport.

That seemed to loosen Adam up a little. He was still a nervous wreck, but the ice had been broken and he was able to have a semi normal conversation with her.

It was nearly 11pm when the bar started to get really crowded. People would accidentally push into the side or the back of Adam, which he instinctively apologised to them for, even though they barged into him.

"Well," Suzanne said and finished her glass, "it's getting kind of late."

She was looking down at the napkin she was playing with in her hands.

"Yeah, I guess," Adam replied back to her, "Would you.... Erm, would you want to do this again?"

Suzanne looked up and gave Adam a gentle but loving smile.

"I would." She told him.

Is she just saying that? I bet after tonight I never hear from her.....

As Adam was lost in thought he was brought back to reality when he felt Suzanne's soft, warm lips press against his.

His eyes shot wide open, Suzanne's were closed and it took nearly 5 full seconds for Adam to react and kiss her back.

It was only soft, a gentle kiss. Suzanne backed away slightly and opened her eyes.

Adam felt something then, something he had felt before a handful of times but he never thought to much of. It was like a slight burning in the pit of his stomach, like a pilot light had been lit, just waiting to burst into a giant flame.

He looked into Suzanne's deep, beautiful eyes, just staring at her, it felt like his own eyes warmed with her stare.

For 10 seconds, they never broke eye contact, he even saw Suzanne let out a little heavy breath.

"Would you... would you like me to call you a taxi?" Adam asked her.

Suzanne's stare never broke with Adams.

"I would... if we can get it back to your place." Suzanne whispered.

No way!! She did not just say that?!

Adam felt his heart flutter and the light burning feeling in his stomach grew stronger.

"I.... I... I.... sure?" Adam stuttered out, instantly he knew he was close to blowing his chances with this girl.

As he felt his hands shake and sweat start to form in his palms, he suddenly felt Suzanne's own soft, warm hand hold onto his.

"If, you want me to come back to yours?" She asked.

Adam got lost in her blue eyes.

"Maybe... maybe we should wait to get to know each other more?" Adam then stuttered out.

I can't take her home with me tonight, she's had wine, she's probably drunk! And I'd only disappoint her and ruin any chance of a relationship. No, I need to get her to like me first before having sex.

"Oh, right." Suzanne said, then her eye contact broke off and she grabbed her phone.

"Do you, do you want me to get you a taxi?" Adam then asked her.

"Erm, yeah, sure." Suzanne replied, she looked a little flustered and nervous herself.

Adam grabbed his phone, called a taxi service and booked it for Suzanne. Every minute he sat there, he wondered if he had done the right thing.

Why don't I just take her home? She wants to, and I want to! Oh god, but I can't, I'm way too nervous for that!

Suzanne barely looked at him, it was like she was embarrassed, probably because Adam rejected her advanced.

She said a quick goodbye and ran out to the taxi, leaving Adam alone, feeling like a complete idiot.

Well done Adam, well done indeed!

He needed a beer before he could go home and face reality, that he actually turned down having sex with a beautiful woman that was well out of his league.

Once again though, the wait to the bar was terrible. Adam got pushed around, ignored, even when he got to the bar it took him nearly 15 minutes to actually get served.

Then, when he returned to his table he saw an older man, maybe in his 40s? Sat on the chair that had his coat on the back.

"Excuse me," Adam whispered, "You're erm, sat on my coat."

The man turned to look at Adam, he had a strange devilish look about him. His face was very well chiselled, like his jawline could cut glass, with just a hint of dark, well trimmed stubble. He had short black hair that was combed to one side and similar to Adam, he had green eyes. Yet these were piercing, almost glowing green eyes.

"Did I take your seat?" The man asked, his voice was soft, delicate, but manly all at the same time.

"It's.... it's okay, I can stand." Adam stuttered out nervously.

The strange man let out a sigh.

"Sit down kid." He said and gestured to the seat where Suzanne was at before she left.

Do I just sit down?

Not wanting to cause a scene, Adam did as the man requested and sat down opposite him, nervously holding his half pint of beer.

"You've just spent nearly half an hour in line to get one drink, come back to see me sat on your table, on your coat, and you're not annoyed about any of that?" The man asked, it wasn't a condescending tone, almost just like a replay of the last few events.

"I mean, it's not anyone's fault," Adam whispered, "the bar staff are busy and you didn't know it was my table."

"It had your coat on," The man said and sipped from a smaller glass that looked like it had whiskey in, "you think I didn't see your coat on it before sitting down?"

What is he getting at?

"I guess." Adam stuttered back.

"And before that, you let that beautiful woman pretty much throw herself at you and then you rejected her?" He said, again not condescending or making fun, kind of a curious tone.

"Have you been watching me?" Adam asked.

"And what if I have, are you going to do anything about it?" He asked, leant back and crossed his legs.

No, I'm not.

Adam just hung his head.

"Listen kid," The man said and sat forward again, "You are in need of some help, and let's just say, I need a project, how does that sound?"

"I don't understand." Adam replied to him.

"I've seen you," The man said, "You can do things, you may not know it yet, but I can show you. You can be confident, get any person you want, get anything you want, but you have lived your life in your own little shell. Safe and sound. With me, I can show you more. I can show you the world."

Adam couldn't stop himself from giving out a little chuckle at the last part, making him think of Aladin.

"What do you mean, things I can do?" Adam asked.

"Do you ever feel a, how do I describe it," The man continued, "A sort of burning feeling, deep within you, waiting to burst into flames and unleash itself. Do you find people admitting to you what they want, as if out of nowhere?"

This is a strange conversation.

"No." Adam whispered to him, which wasn't truthful, the man had it spot on, but Adam was too nervous to tell him that.

"Look at me kid." The man said.

Adam finally raised his stare from his drink and into the stranger's bright green eyes. It was like he was being pulled in with the stare, like he couldn't look away.

"Do you wish you fucked that blonde girl?" He asked bluntly.

"Yeah, I do." Adam admitted to him, without a second to think.

"Good," He said and held to stare with Adam, "Now, look at me."

Adam managed to peel his eyes away for a few seconds and scanned over the strange man.

He wore a black shirt, similar to Adam's but obviously much, much more expensive. It also fit his body pretty well, he was a tallish and slim man, but the shirt hugged onto his toned muscles. He also wore smart, black trousers, black shoes and a dark purple overcoat with the big collar flicked up around his neck.

Then Adam went back to look into his green eyes.

"Do you find my attractive?" The man asked.

What?

"Yes, I do." Adam admitted.

I mean, he is an attractive man.

"Good," He said with a smile, "And, have you ever been with a man before?"

"No," Adam told him, but more information was bursting to get out, "but I've thought about it."

"Who hasn't," The man joked, but weirdly, Adam didn't feel embarrassed at all about admitting what he did to this stranger, "If I offered to take you home right now and have my way with you all night, what would you say?"

"I would love that." Adam said, this time, it surprised him with how quickly he answered the question.

I've thought about experimenting before, why not with this very attractive man?

"And why are you saying all of this to me? But when that beautiful blonde wanted to go home with you, you nervously turned her down?" He asked.

"I... I was scared." Adam told him.

"And that's what I can help you with," He said and stood up.

The man looked across the bar and sighed.

Adam finally turned his head and saw the man was staring at an older, but beautiful blonde woman at another table. There was some bald, meat head of a man that seemed to be harassing her a little.

"Come with me." The man said.

Like a lost puppy, Adam just followed the man.

"Excuse me," The man said, "You seem to be disturbing my date."

The meat head looked up and shot this stranger a dirty look.

"Oh please, no way a guy like you gets a girl like her." He said and laughed.

The man just sighed again and shook his head.

Adam got a little worried then. This meat head was very, very muscular and Adam had no desire to be in a fight. Even if this stranger looked fairly toned, he was a lot smaller in size to this meat head.

"Come on Daisy, let's go." The man said and stuck his hand.

The blonde woman took it and stood up, but suddenly the meat head rose as well and grabbed this Daisy's other wrist.

"I ain't done with her yet!" He shouted, slurring his words and clearly drunk.

The strange man turned to me with a devilish grin.

"Some motherfuckers always want to ice skate uphill." He said with a smile.

He turned back, gently leant his right hand against the meat head and with a very small flick of the wrist, the other guy went flying backwards across the bar and along the floor.

What the hell?!

Adam was stunned! This man barely touched him and he went flying! It was impossible.

Then the stranger turned back to Adam.

"Come with me." He said.

Adam, in his pure disbelief, walked next to this strange man who was still holding hands with this Daisy woman.

Then, something came to Adam.

"Did you just quote Blade?" Adam asked, knowing he recognised that line from somewhere.

"I'm impressed." The man said and carried on walking towards the door.

There was a little noise coming from people picking up the meat head, but nothing was going to come from it.

"I mean, Blade, seriously?" Adam asked, still in shock of the events.

"What? It's a great movie." The stranger said.

"Yeah but still," Adam replied and then let out a little laugh, "You quoted it wrong you know."

"What?" The stranger asked just as they got to the double doors that went outside.

"Yeah," Adam told him, "the line is, Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill, you said it wrong."

"Good catch." He replied with a smile.

Then, they stepped out into the cold, night air.

Wait, am I going home with these two? Adam suddenly thought, he had just been following this man aimlessly and had no idea what was going on.

The man called out for a taxi that stopped in front of them.

Oh my god, am I about to have a threeway with a man and woman?

"So, what do you say kid?" The man asked as Daisy got into the taxi, "do you want my help?"

Adam couldn't explain what had gone on since meeting this stranger, but something inside of him was telling him to go with it.

"Sure, why not." Adam told him, not like I can get any worse at flirting.

"Good," He replied and reached into his purple coat pocket, "here's my card, call me tomorrow and we will organise to meet up."

Adam looked at that business card, it was hard and jet black, only with red letters for his number in the middle, nothing else.

"Wait," Adam shouted as the man got into the taxi, apparently he wasn't going home with them two, "what's your name?"

"I've been called a few different things," He said with a grin, "you can call me Gabe."

Then, he closed the door and the taxi drove off.

Well, that was one of the weirdest nights of my life.

Day 1

The morning after meeting Gabe, Adam lay in his bed looking at the strange business card.

How did he know so much about me? No one has ever known about the weird burning feeling I get inside? Or the fact that people admit strange things to me? Could it mean something? I always just thought it was because no one saw me as a threat they just opened up to me.

It was Sunday, and with nothing to lose, Adam called the number.

"Hello?" Gabe answered, Adam instantly remembered his very charming voice.

"Hi, Gabe, it's Adam, from last night." He told him.

"Ah yes, I'm glad you called." Gabe said, it sounded like he had just woken up, although it was 10am.

"Sorry, did I catch you at a bad time?" Adam asked him.

"No it's alright." Gabe replied.

"So, erm, you mentioned about meeting up, I'm free today if you are?" Adam asked.

He was strangely eager to learn from this man.

"Yeah, sounds good," Gabe replied, "let me just give Daisy one last seeing to then I'll meet you at Towns Shopping Centre at midday?"

Oh my god, he's about to have sex again?! I do need to learn from this man!

"Erm, yeah, sounds good." Adam said and put the phone down.

He was a little nervous to the build up of meeting Gabe again. For all Adam knew, he was some psychopath, serial killer, but for some unknown reason, Adam felt like he trusted Gabe.

He told his parents he was meeting his mates and then headed to the shopping centre.

When he spotted Gabe, the older man was in the same clothes he wore the previous night. However they looked cleaned, ironed and brand spanking new.

"Adam, I'm glad you've decided to let me help you." He said and reached his hand out.

Adam nervously reached back and gave a limp handshake.

"We'll work on that." Gabe told him and Adam blushed with embarrassment, "Come on, I need a drink."

A drink, this early?

But Adam followed him to a pub nearby.

Gabe got himself a whiskey and Adam had a diet soda.

For a minute or two, Adam sat there awkwardly, sipping his drink as Gabe looked at him. He couldn't take it much longer and felt a need to break the silence.

"How.... How did you know that stuff about me?" Adam asked, not looking up from his drink.

"It's a difficult one to explain, virtually no one knows about it fully, except for us." Gabe said mysteriously.

"Us?" Adam asked.

"Yeah, we'll get to that," Gabe said and took a drink of his whiskey, "let me try to explain it the best I can."

Adam looked up at Gabe, who sat back, ready to talk.

"So, pretty much everyone in the world has these... let's say talents. Each one can do different things, you, have the same as me. Except a much watered down version." Gabe told him.

"Talents?" Adam asked.

"It took a while for us to settle on a name, we eventually called it Will." Gabe said.
