The die is cast

in so many ways, as Jack's fallen for Veronica and she really is a doll. You excelled in drawing her as such a sympathetic character, one that was certainly taken advantage of, and put her in some of the most likely circumstances for someone recently arrived (as a woman) to be in. And because of how Jack treats her, you paint a logical progression to how her feelings deepen for him--partly because she's grateful and partly because it's kindness she's not experienced--as how her joining him in the shower illustrates. We even see how obviously Jack wishes to not only protect her, but also how he's already claiming her as his own and therefore will assertively defend her by doing Dante in.

You developed this chapter far better than the previous one, along with sequencing the actions and feelings of both characters in a logical way. 5
