Let me start by saying your writing is good. What I am not sure about is how a totally faithful wife drops that on the hubby with no conversation beforehand? And he's OK, even helps her pick out underwear? Makes the plot line a might thin imo. Then the ending? She loves him? Just like that? Can't wait to read more. I like how the story moved back and forth between Laura and Gregg and Dan. I liked Laura's strength and sense of self. I like the tension that Dan feels-he is not quite sure about this, even as he loves it. But most of all, the dialogue is lively and witty, and makes the sex scenes come alive.

Have to start off saying that the writing is really good BUT there is no way I can confuse this with anything romantic.

Hard to believe that Laura has been a faithful wife for years, but entertained the idea of cheating on her husband after a joke from her boss. And it's not like they had a serious discussion about opening their marriage to others, it was more like she decided to cheat and Dan had to agree.

you can write ok, but you obviously have had either no life experience, or all the wrong life experience. This story just doesn't fly, people don't behave this way.

I think not. The story as told seems an example of a type of American humor that I have trouble laughing over. The idea of the husband's view of communication between partners of any sort, marriage, business or tennis as correct and reasonable is just ludicrous. Write down every aspect of every minute apart so partners can faithfully exchange every bit of data just to ensure there is no possibility of misunderstanding would take twice as much time as exists in a day not to mention drive everyone crazy.

I am sure some agree with his approach but certainly it is not a lifestyle I would want.

I'm really happy I read the first chapter, it will save me the bother of reading any more, absolute fucking crap, minus five* if I could.

    I cheated and read a part of a later chapter first as is my habit. I figure if the middle isn't interesting then why waste time reading the setup? Well the middle was definitely good enough to make me want to read the setup. It just seems like the I still missed the it.

     It just seems like everything that happened between the three went way to smoothly for a first time. The boss makes a mysoginistic joke? and the secretary drops her clothes and goes down on him? Then picks a public restaurant to tell her husband "Oh by the way I cheated on you today, just oral but we're going all the way Monday." No worries that he might make a scene, she just knows he'll  be ok with her adultery? It just feels like this isn't anywhere close to the first time for this couple, like they've done this lots of times before, that or an awful lot of very realistic role playing. And saying she loved Greg? Has she been fantasing about her boss that long or has she been with him before or is she just naive?

      Then again maybe she wanted Dan to make a scene, to show he really cared. I mean his attitude was pretty nonchalant, borderline uncaring. If I cheated on my spouse I'd hope he'd show a little more feeling about it than Dan did. It reminds me of an old song by Joanie Sommers:
