That ended a few chapters ago.

I’m not into guy on guy lit but if there was ever a character that needed his own happily ever after it’s this poor guy. His cheating with Gary really didn’t bother me. I guess I was desensitized by the really slutty mom character. The rest of this chapter was just mommy shock and awe. I stand by every word I have written in the comments of these chapters. There is no daylight in this story no love and no respect. The mom is totally out of control and not in a good way. Can the son be any more of a douchebag? This is a very sad tragedy. But maybe that’s what the author was shooting for. If so then she hit the mark dead on. Feels like part of my soul has been ripped out by a bloody claw. But hey, I’m still reading it. But I would not reread or recommend it.

There is love and respect in this story, but he (I'm assuming "he", and apologize if I'm in error on that point) is either unwilling or incapable of seeing it. Cory isn't a "douchebag". Sarah isn't "out of control". The problem here is that mrdata9770 has certain preconceived notions of what a loving relationship looks like and judges every situation by that standard. People are not all the same. They have different needs and desires. That means that love is not always expressed in the same way. My wife and I can sit together for a few hours, each of us reading a book, and feel that we've spent a pleasant afternoon together. It used to drive her mother nuts when we were in high school because she couldn't understand how we thought we'd been doing something together when we weren't talking to each other or interacting in some other way. With time, she's learned to accept that my wife and I meet each other's needs in ways that wouldn't work for her because we're very different people than she is. Unfortunately, mrdata9770 hasn't yet learned to accept that it's okay for different people to show their love in different ways because they have different needs. Even more unfortunately, he hasn't yet learned that it isn't necessary to complain about something that can't affect him without his active participation.

It has a nice ending and the more you stretch it, the more tiresome it would become. better to leave it when its good. Btw, I absolutely love your writing style and it doesn't even take me 2 pages before I am squirming and wet. You know how to include the important details without letting the heat simmer down and I believe that's a great talent.
