Your descriptions of deep, complex characters with quirks and foibles, leading everyday lives while trying to overcome real or imagined hurdles, are as ever very engaging and spot on.

It’s always interesting to vicariously experience life in a society where marriage for a woman is still often considered to be the end goal. Where housewifery is a desirable — and even encouraged — career path.

Maybe I’m being presumptuous, but I get the feeling that mother and daughter will likely bond over dating preferences, eventually.
