Did not see that twist coming with Gary.
What happened to those that killed Gary? They were followings orders but there should've been some kind of punishment for them just barreling in there and firing at Gary and Renee with all those civilans in the vicinty. They were at the scence of an accident, those soldiers definitely threw common sense out the window before arriving there.
They saw a were and killed it. The outrage from those who watched the whole thing was the catalyst for change. Renee even forgave them.
Behind the Lines of the Were War is one of the best reads I've come across in a long time.
It, along with it's message, is going to stay with me for a long time.
Well done!
I really liked this story. I was a bit different than the others in this genre. Is this going to be the end of the story? You going to have a spin off stories?
I can see why you did what you did, but I would have thought just greviously wounding him (on camera, while he was rescuing a mother and children) would have been sufficient to turn public opinion around, without the need of killing him off completely. Kind of closes the door to a sequel, too.
A soldier follows orders. That is his responsibility The orders were to kill on site. The orders came from a higher source. It was inevitable that someone would die in the end. A great ending.
Great story! I loved it! I had just hopped that Gary would have survived long enough to see his offspring and enjoy some time with Renee. Will there be a sequel to this in the future?
I started with an idea for a story arc and gave it a shot. I have to see what other ideas I come up with, although reconstructing packs and a young widow are a decent starting point. This writing thing is a lot of work! My whole series isn't as long as one of Pocketbooklovers chapters! I hope you all enjoyed what I did with going a different direction than the "meet and mate alpha/heir and live happily' stories.
I loved the story, wish it could have been longer. Is there a sequel??
and the latest chapter should be up in a day or two. Please keep voting and providing your feedback!
I put 4 stars because of the reference to Kyle as a hero, since there is now quite a lot of evidence that he was not.

i know you needed a big sacrifice for the ending. i just wish you did not kill him...trs
seen these stories for awhile but somehow put off reading it. glad I started now. and can continue with the sequels having this background. thank you too for continuing to write through the years. I liked the arc of this story and tho I can see your sequels back when you wrote this, I can see easily the different ways you could take the sequels, which youre now doing
The quality of the work declined as the story went on. The quality fell off after the chapter where Gary was captured. It’s almost as if there were two different authors. The ending was contrived and felt rushed. Premise was good.
I started reading this from the beginning and thought it was going to be good ,it was I loved it I hope he not really dead.
OK, it snuck in early in the chapter - but I gotta ask - who collected the bear urine? And HOW? Pretty sure asking nicely's not gonna work.
5* thanks for sharing

I'm not sure how they collect it but bear urine is sold in hunting stores in America, it's used as a form of pest control, just spray it around an area and other animals will avoid it like the plague
