This has a lot of potential. I don't usually go for forced stories, but this one set it up in a way that the reader could feel Jen's desperation. Last commenter asked, "why so much fat hate?", if I were to venture a guess it would be motive. It lends definition to Jen's desperation and extremely low self-esteem.
