The reader just knows there is going to be a happy ending, they just KNOW it, but you make them doubt just enough to make the payoff, which is good to begin with, just that very bit much better.

Overall nice delivery, which I'll say is worth a 5.

I would say though that her "drama" over Connor liking or not liking her was a bit overdrawn, as while she was thinking he was being "thick," so was she--as he showed her physically VERY WELL that he loved her--because the average guy doesn't go to that kind of detail during sex, to make sure his woman gets most of her pleasure first. So for her to miss that is....colossally daft.

However, unique idea to have her ply him with a business idea with expresso and baked goods, then let take off from there. Enjoyable!

Unlike others, the only thing I thought was unbelivable is that she would have a 'pod' coffee machine!!!

A pump espresso machine can be cheaper that a pod one and a fraction of the cost to run with full control of the coffee blend, she would also grind her own beans. Furthermore, the ones with concentrated milk taste of horrible artificial sweetners. It would be like a baker buying Betty Crocker cake mix for home use. YMMV
