I wonder if Gyren knows how Astar feels about him.

If he didn't before, that perk of his ears when she sat for the first time might have clued him in. Then again, all dragons are a lusty bunch, so maybe it didn't register as strange. People in the room having sex? You get horny, its reflex.

Further installments will teach us more I expect, should they be written. xD

Only thing I'm really interested/ bothered by is the gender inequality. Especially when its societal and not biological. Protecting the weaker sex is all well and good, until they are holding their own on the battlefield next to you, then its just aggravating. Though until we get some more perspective of a mated female dragon, we just don't know how they Feel about it.

Just take one of the three characters, or even someone new to draw into the story later and develop the character for a couple of thousand words. Move the plot along a little if you wish. But keep it short and simple and get it done in an evening or two.
