It's funny, it's dirty, it's raw. It doesn't take itself seriously, and yet it does. As much as I love a dramatic and deep story, sometimes I just want something like this. I love the idea of "Booty Shorts" and the name is hilarious! So, AMD escapes any blame from me. Ginny, on the other hand, does not, for getting that stupid song stuck in my head too!!!!

Even when you just try to make something short and hot, you spend the time to make the characters feel real. I loved it and can’t wait to see where else you take the next one.

I’m 58 and been widowed (female partner of 16 yrs) and single since. I’d never heard the term Gold Star lesbian til I started reading here. I felt a bit ashamed at first that I can’t claim that title, as if I weren’t a good enough lesbian. But , in my younger days, I’d considered myself to be bisexual much more than I did as I grew older and realized that my heart only skips beats for women, and the only wang I want would be attached to that woman. The reality is, the majority of us are not completely straight or gay, and our sexual experiences can have a lot to do with how we’re raised and the opportunities afforded us. I knew a woman who placed her Mom in assisted living when she was alone and showing signs of early dementia. Her mother had looong been married and only ever dated her husband. Imagine the daughters surprise when Mom fell in love with a woman in assisted living! Who knows? Maybe she was always a Gold Star lesbian in heart and by nature, but life and expectations took her down a different path.

Life is tough enough without judging each other. Well done, as always Spokes. Thank you

I find it disturbing though. I’m a bit weirded out by it. If I was Alyx I’d feel my relationship was betrayed or degraded by the whole scenario. I don’t think I’d easily get over it. I mean, does the hole in wall situation really mean the other human being, the man, is not really a person you interacted with? (I realize M. asked her consent to proceed at every point but it is clear Alyx is submissive.)

I enjoyed this story, a short fun read. But please tell your friend Ginny (I've read enough of both of your works to know you two are friends) that she's in trouble. I now have that "terrible" song stuck in my head.

A very enjoyable story, but if "gold star lesbian" is exclusionary then so are the terms lesbian, bisexual, transexual and heterosexual because they exclude people who don't fit the category. Obviously any label can be offensive if it's used to degrade or insult someone who doesn't fit the category of some idiot's preference, but it sounds like the offended person in this story is a professional victim who blames others for her own insecurity.
