The one thing this story is missing is why he cares about Toni so much. She was never good to him till the epilogue. Her apology to him sucked. She cheated on him while they were dating, gave her virginity to the other boyfriend, and cheated on Brian when they were married. I would say that gave him plenty of reasons to doubt her over the next 15 years and he could never rest easy. Sorry, he has to know he really was the backup plan. She needed a redeeming quality or two to make her any kind of prize.

Okay, I usually hate back story, but it works here because it shows what kind of person she is. Having said that, I know he's hung up on her, but he KNOWS he's being played and she's lying to him, why does he put up with it. I love macaroni and cheese. Its always the same, but its always good. I don't eat it much because its not very good for you, and its kind of predictable and boring. But its always fun to have. You can take it if there is nothing better on the table, or you can leave it for the more interesting and challenging dishes. You can always come back to it once the better stuff is gone. Always good, never great. Quantity versus quality.

Lots of interesting elements in this one, a seventeen-year-old Freshman. High school threesomes with no nonsense girls who know what they want sexually. Seems like the feverish dreams of an adolescent to me but that would go against an author who remembers and can see the humor in Dewey, Cheatham and Howe.

Roger's got surveillance all over his house, that's how Roger and Toni quickly discovered that Brian had left just before Roger fucked her on that day and they decided to come up with this story. Roger fucked her for a couple of months and decided to move on but he didn't need to destroy her life so he helped her get away with it all knowing Brian was kinda sorta dumb and would probably take her back. Roger comes to the southeast every now and then and Toni loves giving him rimjobs and let him fuck her ass and mouth when they hook up. It's happened quite a few times over the last 15 years. Toni does love Brian but understands her husband is just not very bright nor does he know anything about what pride and honour is. She feels life is good as it is and Brian will just never know the whole story.

A story that has an ending and a good one at that! Okay she was out of order but the conclusion shows she made up for it. Many relationships go through rocky phases but some come through strong and lasting. Wish you would revisit and finish some of your earlier stories. 5 stars

she cheated...because she could. she lied...because she could. hell...she got free dinners off her ex while married...because she could. her instinct are working great. she strings men along....uses them as back-up. this is classic hypergamy. women are very good at it. the only reason...and i need to stress this....only reason she will never cheat on him again...nor flirt with others....is because...she can't. she's older now....has a child with him....and she's seen the landscape of available men. he is literally the best she CAN get...so she'll keep him now.

she's kinda a selfish and devious cow. but she's not dumb. every move she made wasn't an error in judgement. it was a calculated risk. her real mistake was putting all her eggs in two baskets. there may have been more. but all her publicly sexual stuff was between two guys. two guys with animosity towards eachother. she strung them both along enough times for BOTH men to dump her....outta spite for the other man. cuz men are like that. pride and ego. her only saving grace was having the better man's child outta wedlock. probably also her plan. once she found out she was preggers...she could risk more flirtations with the other guy....cuz she has that baby as a trump card.

I don't buy the nothing happend line. Went out with Roger at least 3 times while they were married, because she was bored. Well there are lots of ways to keep ocuppied without taking up with old or new dicks that don't belong to your husband. Seem pretty likely that Brian's sperm got a head start or swam faster, which is the underlying reason they got back together.

She knows herself and she is always "all in" with Brian? Yeah, okay but then she shuffles and deals the cards and places a new bet. Married life for her was pretty much a repeat of high school life

You did a complete story. Others like your style of BTB or retribution or revenge, but NEVER forgiveness, but here you did the right thing, AFTER all, a son needs two parents, Then the other babies came along. I give this a *5*.

He said it would take a DNA test to be sure, but nothing was said about having one done.

Only glaring technical issues are time line, the descriptions of going steady, the drive in theater, are things more the late 50s early 60's (even roger having a mustang limits this to 1964 and later),plus it mentions a boom box at a party (mid 1970s), and then DNA testing which is late 90s on for paternity.

With Toni it is kind of hard to believe she would go out with Roger to a night club and then back to his place without knowing what was going to happen. The story has a happy ending but IDK if Brian could overcome all the lies and believe her.

He drained the bank accounts when he left as he said the rich lover boy can provide for her. She said she dumped him that vary night. So she can survive on her paralegal salary. For s year including whatever months she had maternity and a kid? How old is the kid? No paternity test? She chested and lied on him forever so why trust now? No reason to like her at all was ever given. Even if its his child he should divorce ( i dont recall a divorce taking place) and if he wants her back start slowly with dates. I for one would tell her to get lost. She still sees lover bpy!

Yes, she had a lot of growing up to do, but sometimes time and motherhood will do that. Interesting story.

Toni gave enough reasons for him to not be with her, but there was a caveat- their ages. I know with my nieces and nephews when they thought they were in love in high school or even early college my advice was date a lot of people first, and get to know yourself before you make a lifetime commitment.

It's better Toni had Roger to test out her Mom's theory at her young age than be 35, looking at 40, and wonder before getting too old if she should hook up with another guy and if she did the right thing marrying her first young love. Her love for Brian was tested and Brian love won out. At the same time Brian doesn't have to wonder at midlife what it would have been like to play around.

When looking for a lifetime mate one must consider many categories. While I don't have a daughter (have a son), the advice I would give her it's as easy (maybe easier) to fall in love with a guy with a good financial future than one without. At the same time advise her to not get married before completing her own educational goals and making sure she is on a strong financial footing herself. The marriages I see around me, both family and friends, the ones that don't have financial problems are much more happy and much more solid. The ones that married for love only and didn't consider all the other important characteristics (and who knows maybe they couldn't attract someone better), but are struggling financially seem miserable and they seem worn down.

Reconciliation by baby. The tried and tested way for LW authors to get cheating whores to reconcile with their delusional, shit for brains husbands. The least you could have done is be more creative with the raac.

He believed it to be his son, based on his appearance, and I assume that he’s probably correct — especially since his mother saw the resemblance immediately — but there was still no chance for his offspring to actually become his son, in his heart, before he agreed to have Toni move back in with him.

And he had a couple of weeks to think about it, while she made preparations to move. That was a strained leap of faith to be sure.

What was Brian thinking during those two or three weeks, by himself, while Toni was getting ready to move down? There’s a story there that was omitted, though I can see how it would be anticlimactic to have included it.

I’m not one of those who hates RAAC stories, but I saw this one as a bit strained.

Problem is, over the years in our society, plenty of under age sex was going on, and STILL is, in high school, by high school kids. EVEN before the 50s and 60s at the heyday of the drive-in. So the challenge for BOB? how to relate high school experiences that were pivotal in a young man's sexual development, but STILL meet a legal requirement of the website platform? A story like this suffers from the fact that what is in BOB's head doesn't exactly mesh. It's is NOT his fault, OR Laurel's. Readers here need to have a deeper understanding, and read between the lines. Some creative license is required, and expected. Timeline issues and anachronistic plot details are (IMHO) a little like a middle finger against the establishment that prevents a writer like BOB from using his twilight years to share the fictionalized accounts of his sexual peak of high school and college when he encountered these now famous bimbos and floozies lie Pauline, Bev, Nancy, etc.

Look, I lost my virginity at 15, first gabbed boobs in 7th grade. I'll never be able to write about those experiences here in a shared story, and I understand why. But I remind readers that it IS a limitation that MANY authors here struggle with.

Actually there is not really a "typical JPB story" but this one did have a "happy ending" with the pair cementing their interactions while Brian did have a pretty exciting and memorable high school set of experiences.

When Brian first sees his son and that he is "the spitting image" of his baby pictures, he still observes that "It would take a DNA test to be absolutely sure." Since he later is sure, we (or, at least, I ) realize the test happened. Readers should not require/expect/want authors to state every obvious detail.

I liked this story quite a bit. The sexy parts were hot, the MC was sensitive without being a pushover or an idiot, and the situations were just different enough from JPB's usual set ups that it kept my interest. My only real gripe was that Toni was essentially a card board cut out of a character. There was no real personality to her. What little we knew of her came from how she acted, which was dating someone else 90% of the story, and what people told Brian about her. Their relationship post-high school was rushed in the extreme, so we never really learned what she was like at all. It's still a good story but it left the ending feeling a little unsatisfying.
