Great diologue makes for interesting characters. I like the plot line, it's less conventional, unconvoluted, and I also appreciate the gradual introduction of characters.

I don't quite grasp the uniqueness of the sea stones. I live near the ocean and beautiful smooth and colorful (when wet) stones of all sizes are liberally sprinkled about the beach. Since these are all people who live by the water, I'm taking your word that the ones in this story are rare enough to be noteworthy.
