I am desperately wanting an ending here. I check almost daily to see if more has been written. The wait is almost as bad as the wait for the release of the next book in a really good series. Don't give up! This is one of the best things I've read here!!

I’ve read chapters 1-18 so many times. I hope each time I check in that a new chapter will be up. Whenever you write it, do know that this fan of your work will be overjoyed.

Such a disappointment, I regret even reading it since it's never going to be finished. I don't know why authors submit works they have no intention of finishing.

This gem unfortunately will probably never be finished. It seems this very talented author has lost interest in it.

This is a fantastic story, and I am also sad that Emmeline hasn't posted the rest of it. However, it's super rude to talk shit about an author for not posting. We don't know what is going on in her life.... maybe she's finished it but she's trying to get it published. Maybe an unexpected, life-changing event happened and she doesn't have time to write anymore. Maybe she has writer's block and all the whiny people pressuring her to finish are making it worse. Who knows!

The point is, it's none of our business. She is spending her time doing whatever she needs to do to live her life, just like we all do. Don't be little bitches about it.

Actually really enjoyed the story. I’ve read, embarrassed to say, many many romance novels. And yours could easily stand on its own with them. Sure, a little more sex than most romance novels, though not more graphic than some. Story line and character development were actually very good, aloof and heartless to carrying with final chapters to reveal a deep seated love. Though you most likely will never finish this, I hope you haven’t given up on writing and if you have any books available to purchase, let us know.

I enjoy the way you used Rockdale/William in your writing to imply what we're dealing with. I think you did a really good job of establishing a lot of good tension, and tbh if you never finish I'll still be happy you brought as much of the story to us as you did.

You spend a lot of time in your authors notes at the beginning, apologising for your absences or for your writing... But you did a good job, and frankly you owe us nothing. I'm just glad you've shared this with us

I love historical stories especially when they are well written as this story. I am not a writer and thus can not begin to put in words how much I love this story. So many of the reviews at the end of this chapter express my feelings far better than I could. I certainly hope you will find your muse and the time to continue this story. It is just too good to be left unfinished. Once finished you really should find a publisher!

Still hopefull for another installment, this story has me hooked and I keep finding myself re-reading. Please don't give up on Eliza and her Earl, we are all anxious to see where the story will take them next!

I love this story! It reminds me of the Sebastian St Cure series~ SOOOOO GOOD! You could certainly publish it! The writing is excellent and you are wrong about your plot. It’s very good. There’s only one problem with the time. She was in the townhouse in London for two weeks but it seem like what was happening at the manor house only happened in a couple days. It doesn’t matter to fix it here now ~ but it would be a small thing to fix *when* you publish it. Please finish the story!!!

You guys must be new here been following this story since 2014 which makes it 8 years since it began and about 5 years since the last update. Let me tell you now you are here for a long time not a good time.

I know life happens thats why I'm not getting my hopes up. I've stopped rereading it to save myself from the pain but I'm almost tempted to enjoy it then relive the pain again since Emmeline updated her status.
