Maybe Zane Grey won't have to move over and make way for your stories to rule, but your stuff is fun to read. Now for a gentle reminder about speaking Southern; I've lived almost exclusively in seven Southern states during the last 70+ years and "Y'all" just isn't used when a singular entity is addressed. "Y'all come" means "all of you come." Like, "The five of you are invited to my party." It is never correct when used as follows; "Y'all put down that knife or I'll blow your butt away wilth my Glock."

I agree with Tavadelphin, you have to protect your own. I don't see a problem if they had put the kidnapper down for good. He more than deserved it. I know our legal system is a mess, but this guy kidnapped the wife then threatened her life with the knife. If he had died during the rescue they wouldn't have to worry anymore. Now he's going to be in another hospital and he escaped from one already. Thanks for a good story.

This one may become my favorite, it was stupendous.

I don't think the Mann Act qualifies here but Federal Law was still violated as when a kidnapping occurs and the perpetrator crosses state lines with the victim it automatically becomes a federal case. So in this case the minute they crossed the state line it became a federal crime and federal law takes over. And federal law is strict and severe on kidnapping.

Loved it all. The opening grabbed my attention and never let go. Great work with the characters and story line. Thanks for sharing. BK
