Fantastic

story, I had assumed that the series had been abandened. Glad to see that I was wrong. I'm looking forward to the next installement, which I am going to assume has him doing the girls in the hot tub, but I also want to see things work out with Collette as well. It seems like she is the one with the serious long term potential, though no reason both sisters can't share nicely now is there? Very loving, romantic tale that deserves to be continued for several additional chapters, it seems like there is alot of potential

Not as good as the others...

This one lacks the excitement of the previous 4 chapters... bring back the fun!

too much teasing

don't know any guys that would put up with all the teasing most guys would have packed and left long ago. neither sister really cares for him jen is just teasing and collete is just using him. not real good.

AnonymousAnonymousover 12 years ago
Disagree about the teasing

It's fine that the girls are teasing him but the story installments are dragging out too much over too many short parts. Once the whole thing is spliced together, it'll be okay though.

By the way, "okay" is the better form for prose, NOT "o.k." or "o.k" or "ok" or "O.k." See how weird it looks in printed form? Unless you're scribbling on a small Post It note, use okay. None of it is actually wrong. Just a matter of looking rather clumsy.

I agree with the too much teasing.

The stories are well written, have good flow and a great dynamic. But, the writer seems too intent on build up and emotional connections. This series should be in the romance section, not the taboo section. The other thing that bothers me is the constant reference to 'not being blood related'. It doesn't matter in a court of law, they are still legally regarded as siblings, and therefor it's still regarded as a criminal offense in most countries, except Sweeden, where marrying your half sister or brother is legal.

MAY STEP SIBLINGS MARRY?

I do not know where Lo_Pan, the commenter just before me, got his misinformation.

I Googled "legal to marry stepsiblings?"

legalbeagal.com says, "In all but one state [Virginia], step-siblings are free to get married. "

findafamilyattorney.com states, "There are no state laws that prohibit marriage between stepsiblings since they are not at risk of having children with genetic defects due to being close blood relatives."

This site also states, "Consanguinity laws make it a crime for the following relatives to get married:

Biological brothers and sisters,

Half-siblings,

Aunts and nephews,

Uncles and nieces, and

Many states say it's illegal for first cousins to marry, however, all states say that second cousins are allowed to get married to each other."

On a related (?) issue, the Internet furnished this statement,

"unrelated, adopted siblings cannot legally marry in any US State except one: Colorado."

(All the above is about USA)

So, legally, Mark may marry Jennifer or Collete.

However, if Mark's step parent had adopted him, and Collete and Jennifer's step parent had adopted them, then they would be adoptive siblings making marriage illegal!

Thus one can imagine this paradox:

Mark, knowing his step sisters for as long as he can even remember, and thus thinking of them as sisters, may legally get married. (Or hypothesize that they all three were too young to remember becoming step siblings, and only remember each other as brother or sister. Still, they may marry -- when 18 years old.)

Now, imagine Joe who, at age 14 becomes a step brother to Ann, also 14, when their parents marry. The parents of both immediately adopt his/her step child. Ann and Joe are now adoptive siblings and may never legally marry. (Unless they live in Colorado.)

This paradox is ridiculous nonsense. Of course legislators making a law cannot be expected to conceive of every circumstance that will ever arise. I think the Colorado exception came from a late (1979-1980) court ruling. I wonder if it was something like the paradox that I have imagined.

(I once saw a cartoon of a paradox. It was two doctors.)

One exception to the Anonymous comment on the legalities of siblings marrying. IN Arizona, siblings may marry if they are 1. over 65 yrs of age or 2. can show that either of them are sterile and thus unable to procreate. And I bet you thought that it would be Alabama.

Also, in about 24 states including most of the south, the New England states, Colorado, California, Hawaii and Alaska, first cousins can legally marry.

Now, what any of the afore mentioned union may have on the family emotionally is another question to be considered, legality aside.
