As someone who grew up in a mostly Italian neighborhood myself many many years ago, I can testify to the amazing beauty of these Italian ladies like the one in this story that you told so well. It was a different age when hair wasn't considered horrible and many of the women from the old country didn't follow American customs (weren't riddled with goofy tattoos like these days either) and they were sexy as could be,.

I never lucked out like the kid in this story but I have a couple of those women and their images in my memory bank that I will never forget, and this story brought them to mind once again. Beautiful.

Some of us red blooded American males born and raised in the 50's & 60's had the fortunate experience to meet interesting women like Mrs. Audi, first generation Americans with some unique values and perspectives. I was never a fan of the Bohemian "hairy" women thing but variety is the spice of life and it's all good.

I agree with Pulsifer42 that it was a warm and tender coming-of-age story. Its genuineness kept me reading to the end even though it was not over-the-top erotic like most of the fiction on this site.

I'm not an armpit hair fan like the author, however pubic hair is the big trigger for me. I just can't understand the fascination for groin baldness of the generations that have followed my Sixties generation. I like adult women, not those who look like 12-year-olds with tits.

It was nice to get a little sentimentality along with the sex in this story. Well crafted.

I'm old enough now, to have been young enough then to actualy mow the neighbors lawn. City living, most people had gardeners and In LA they were Japanese. They would ask me in for a cold drink, those house coats were popular here as well, I'm sure I looked like a wolf, a drink was all I ever got, and a little money $3 to $6 for the front and back. Good money for 12 year old in the 60's..
