why would he not hear from him again? Jim is interested in him and while hurt, I don't think he'll just stop wanting him. I think that he would get a job offer if he came back. Slinking off like that doesn't seem to fit the confident strong willed guy. He may have been beat and hurt romantically, but his personality should bring him back to fight for what he wants.
