Your story is written in passive voice and littered with so much present perfect tense that it felt like nails on a chalk board when I read it. You may have a good story. I hope so. Yet, Your style made it difficult for me to tell. I suggest one rewrite. During the rewrite, eliminate all the present perfect tense and present your story in active voice. Use passive voice sparingly to soften narrative.
