She shuffled the photos and letters into a file to consign to her locked cupboard. She noted the tape measure was before her, also the jar of Vaseline, the swishy cane in the corner and a Badmington paddle on a chair. The stage was set, the cast- the cast of two- assembling.
She checked her silver ladies key-wound pocket watch.
There was a knock at the door.
It was Tagore, bathed and dressed, appearing as instructed, his punishment postponed on account of the note.
Postponed but not cancelled.
Another knock, tentative, hoping. Yes, insistent.
She rose. Tonight would be devoted to commanding scale, a humpback, a huge anchoring dorsal vein. Other things. Like a flaming red tip, like a capacious bag with plums. Ugly, imperfect. Ideal proportions and shape could wait. Another three months, German naval activity permitting.

Anonymousover 5 years agoThe picture album idea! Thats a whole story in itself! The setup, getting girls to help, all the boys stripped down, forced to pose for pictures. Their anguish knowing these pictures will remain forever.
The scheming maids desperate to get their hands on the album. Some visiting mothers curious and wanting to see them!
Perhaps a very poor girl bullied by one of these rich boys devises a plan to see his pictures. And the teachers take pity on her and decide to have her rival stripped before her, bringing him to tears. He's made to serve her tea and he knows from now on she holds the power over him despite the caste disparity.

Anonymousover 5 years agoAwesome stuff man! I can't wait to hear how the photoshoot goes. And all those guys anguish, knowing there's a photobook of them fully nude sitting in their headmistresses office. Maybe the maids work together to sneak a peek of it.
