OK. The "secret clue" that the poor detective missed has been dropped. Of course, he doesn't know he's in a mystery. Nicely done; dropped casually but not deceitfully right in the middle of some boring narrative; I like an author who plays fair. Mind you, I still don't have a motive.

If there was a clue dropped, I missed it. Now we know the weight of barbells on corpse. Think that was very underestimated by killer
