This story is a LOT deeper than "earth woman fucks a space octopus." It's a quirky, often funny, often serious exploration of relationships and what makes them work or fail.

Looking forward to part 3.

I enjoyed the spacey and rather surreal context, the erotic writing, the wider vocab than normal erotica. Prompted me to read more from Emily.

So good. I think I just want to thank you for writing it. A touching, romantic, and somehow very real-feeling exploration of independence and co-dependence, honesty and manipulation, the difficulty of communication, lust and love, all through a relationship with a nearly immortal shape shifting alien cephalopod. I especially liked Em's self awareness after she lied to Na-Ri to try to manipulate her behavior and then saw the connection between what she'd done and what David did.

Centaur and unicorn? I wouldn't think they would bother to pull Earth myth forms from Em's mind, makes me wonder if there is a reason for those shapes... Guess I'll see in the last part!
