Click hereWhat I didn't realise was that Jenkins had planned other things to sell the story. Something he didn't tell us about at the time because I surely would have objected to them. He put his life in mortal danger to sell our story, carrying out acts of sabotage to stir a revolution that led to the toppling of a wicked man.
Alex, the host of Amelia and I's secret rendezvous, survived the events of the last few months. However, my lover's bodyguard was not so fortunate. She died protecting us, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
It was hard for Amelia -- being away from her homeland -- but I promised that we would one day return. For now, we were safe...
That's all that mattered.

THE END
Average story about a love that cost other people their lives. True love selfishly wins.
Scores 3/5
I really enjoyed this for the most part but it felt rushed and somewhat incomplete in places, particularly at the end.
I wish there was a little more for us. What was the escape like? What was life like immediately after for them wherever they ended up. I was still tremendously relieved that they both survived and so did Alex. Still enjoyed it a lot. Not surprised though, I'm a big fan of the Incessant series. 5/5
The lovers' escape, the agent's acts of sabotage, the revolution and the death of the first lady's bodyguard, all could have made for some gripping action.
