He went to the restroom a few steps down the hall. And when he left, having washed his face with a splash of cold water, he entered the reception room with a nervous gait he most certainly did not arrive with. He found Judy bopping her head at the desk with a pair of earbuds. Did she not hear them at all?
"Oh, hey Greg," she spotted him. "You and Jenny finished?"
"I, uh, oh. Yeah, yeah..." he stammered.
"Okay, Dr. Jenny told me to schedule a follow up with you. Would next week be good?"
He paused.
"Next week? Uh, next week is--"
He glanced at the calendar on the wall. The New Year was just around the corner.
"Next week will do fine."
