Author's Note:

A Drow's Dilemma began as a one-on-one roleplaying project and has been converted into a chapter-by-chapter format for weekly posting with the permission and assistance from my partner. It will contain a considerable amount of sexual themes such as femdom, lesbian, straight, 'reverse' rape, BDSM, group sex, romance, and other themes. The main goal of the story, however, is to tell an epic tale of adventures, gods and goddesses, fae, and nymphomaniacs. This episode and every episode to come will be available for free on Literotica for the foreseeable future. All characters that engage in sexual or suggestive situations are mentally and sexually mature: the human equivalent of 18 for their race.

Episode 141: Valkyries

The icy wind finally stole Ashyr's breath as she hurtled across the sky of her future home, held by one arm facing outward against the chest of a Valkyrie. It was terrifying. Surely, this high in the air, there should be more protection against falling. It was wonderful. The drow's blood had never pumped harder. Oh! To fly like this on the power of her own wings!

"Are you well, drow?" the valkyrie asked. The sound seemed to come from her head more than from the woman's mouth.

"Worried I won't be able to spar after this?" Ashyr responded with her voice as well as her mind, as she often did when a psychic link was set between her and one of her friends. She hoped it worked the same with the valkyries. "After this, I can fight armies!"

Friava must have heard her because her laugh was so exuberant that Ashyr could feel the vibrations of her chest.

Hlara shot into view, a burst of fire-red hair and white wings. "Drop her already! I ache for a spar."

Drop her?

Ashyr screamed in terror and delight when she no longer felt the protective grip of her flight partner. She stopped plummeting forward, plummeting down instead. The drow spread out her limbs to simply experience the power of the wind and ground speeding to meet her. She waited until the last moment to activate her ring of feather fall - an important accessory for any adventurer - and had to roll across the ground to avoid injury. When she finally got to her feet, yin and yang appeared in her hands.

The ground on either side of her shook with the impact of two alighting Valkyries. They, too, had their short swords at the ready. They wasted no time in starting their aggressive attack. Ashyr, manic grin plastered across her face, desperately scuttled backward while parrying and dodging their attack. The uneven ground was at an incline behind her, filled with large bushes and brambles that she could use to her advantage to stop their flanking maneuvers.

This was usually when she would banter with her opponent, but Ashyr was having a difficult enough time getting enough breath as she desperately defended herself. She was considered a very good swordswoman, but Ashyr had a feeling that the Valkyries were holding back. If they had been using their spears, the drow wouldn't have had a chance.

But Ashyr had a secret. She threw down Yin, who suddenly appeared as a feminine warrior. She evened the playing field, but the winged women didn't seem too impressed. They simply fought harder; Ashyr felt as if she'd gained nothing.

"Need help, dearest?" Selene's voice called down.

Ashyr didn't dare look at her cousin, but she could tell that she was hovering somewhere above. She barely managed her response, "Get someone to revive me if I die!"

Hlara and Friava thought this was funny. Ashyr attempted to use this to her advantage, but the extremely disciplined women fought as well when they were laughing as they did any other time.

"That is not advisable," Selene said in a disapproving tone. "It's much more expensive to revive two people than it is to bring back just one."

Ashyr faltered a bit, earning a loud smack on her leg. At times like this, she forgot that she was carrying Caleldir's child. It was too early to show yet and she didn't have many side effects. Luckily, pregnant drow were far, far hardier than pregnant humans, else this would have been a very bad idea.

"Do not worry, drow. We are aware of your condition and are taking the necessary precautions," Hlara informed her.

"My mother gave birth to me on the battlefield and carried on fighting with me in her arm!" Friava boasted. "That was when the Triumph finally decided she was ready! We are used to training with pregnant females."

Neither of the Valkyries seemed out of breath as they spoke. But, even though Ashyr wasn't much of a match for the two of them, Friava had a big grin on her face and even Hlara looked like she was having fun.

Meanwhile, much of the rest of the group had filtered out. A number of the attendees to the great council were leaving or had left. Naliira, Fedwyn, and a few others stayed in the hall to return to work on Naliira's new tree, but most of the assembly scattered.

For his part, as he situated himself in a nearby chair to watch the fight Caleldir was grumbling a bit about the inconvenience of the process of incubization. Still, he did not mind carrying Aster around. The succubus princess was light enough, strong enough, and magical enough that it did not actually make moving around that much more difficult than it was normally. And by this point, he was very used to sex. He still found it embarrassing to walk around naked with a succubus on his cock, though. At least all those around right now were weird sex perverts of one stripe or another, or at least worshippers of his weird sex pervert older sister (Princess Ravayra was disarmingly pure, despite her worship of Aelsuna).

"Please do not get carried away!" Caleldir called out to Ashyr and the Valkyries.

The twelve lesser Duskhavens (none of whom had bothered to get dressed after the council out of a show of pious loyalty to the great Goddess Ellistraea that they all of course had always secretly worshipped and not that bitch Lolth) who were charged with attending to Ashyr, Caleldir, and Selene moved around Caleldir to watch the fight, Caleldir's own attendants moving closer to him. Ishtar tightly embraced him from behind, her eyes fixed on Aster's movements.

Ashyr's newly assigned attendants, especially her bodyguard Dilrae Steel - a scarred, muscular drow who looked a lot like Ashyr herself - seemed a lot more nervous than the others. Dilrae looked from Caleldir to Ashyr and back, her muscles twitching as she tried to figure out where she should be.

Vicora Steel gently put a firm hand on Caleldir's arm. "The Matron is a fantastic fighter, but the Valkyries are even better," the bodyguard observed. "And their armor is amazing. We should get that made for all of Duskhaven Steel!"

"If you wish, my lord," Phivucai Moon said respectfully. "I can arrange for that if you approve it in the budget. Speaking of, now that my tenure as your personal secretary has begun, you and I should have a long discussion as to your goals. Mistress Dahlia gave me the relevant paperwork and access to all your files to bring me up to speed, but the last time we talked was on that glorious day you visited and had sex with all of us and our roles were introduced."

"I also need to have a long discussion with you, my lord," Haeshi Silver interjected. "You are to be a High King, and I am to be in charge of your public face. I need to know what sort of image you wish to project, and how we can go about projecting that image most effectively. Your current state of requiring constant sex for incubization will complicate things, of course."

"Speaking of your incubization schedule," Phivucai began, a slightly smug expression on her face. "While your wives have their time, we do have a lot of flexibility in the formal arrangement. I propose that we sell time with your co- I mean, time with your manhood to willing women. We could use the money."

"Yeah, no," Caleldir sighed. "Good luck getting Selene to approve of that nonsense." Caleldir was pretty sure that none of the Wivesmoot would approve except Marigold, really.

"While the public relations boost of giving access to the king's manhood would be substantial, we do not need the money," Haeshi argued. "It would be better to use time with him as a reward for exemplary service."

"I can have sex with him every moment of every day that he is not already inside someone!" Ishtar declared.

Caleldir shook his head. "You all seem to be eager to do your jobs. I thought all of you four except Ishtar were nobles who would find this grating."

"They are just eager to fit in with the new status quo," Aster said, finally speaking up. She had rotated to face outward on Caleldir's lap to watch the fight. Her hips idly shifted as much as they could, but it was clear that sex was not currently her main focus.

"A bit too eager," Caleldir observed. "Ladies, contrary to what you might think, you are not going to curry favor with me by arranging weird sex stuff for me to do. I already have far more of that than I can handle."

Meanwhile, Ashyr had scrambled farther up the incline. The ghost of one of her swords fought by her side, but it was beginning to flicker with stress. The drow was likewise showing signs of flagging. Sweat poured from her brow and her motions became wilder and less accurate. With seemingly no effort, Hlara harried Ashyr until she fell to the ground. Yin disappeared while Ashyr put her hands up in surrender. For his part, Caleldir noticeably relaxed to see the fight over.

"Excellently done, woman!" Friava praised the raggedly panting drow. "You have qualified to train with us, as far as I'm concerned!"

"I... have trained... with the blade... for almost two hundred... years!" Ashyr panted in amazement.

"You have trained with drow," Hlara observed haughtily. "Your kind was far too corrupt to ever achieve true greatness in battle. Too much reliance on magic and other underhanded tactics."

"Dark Elves, however, show promise," Friava said in a more pleasant tone. "And you, Ashyr of Duskhaven..." The two valkyries shared a look. "We have some matters to discuss later. For our stay here, however, we would greatly enjoy sparring with you in the mornings."

"That... sounds great. Maybe... one at... a time from... now on," Ashyr managed to say while still fighting for breath.

"Ha! How about this: that scarred woman over there can be your partner," Hlara suggested.

"My Steel woman?" Ashyr asked as she glanced toward where Hlara was pointing. Dilrae Steel was picking her way towards her through the ruins of the garden with a very serious expression.

"I'm surprised that she didn't swoop in to join the fight!" Friava said. Is she a sister?

"A bodyguard. All Duskhavens have them now," Ashyr explained, feeling embarrassed about it somehow. "She's just someone to watch my back. I probably could have done without."

"Nonsense. Friava needs me and I need Friava," Hlara said as she sheathed her weapon. "A valkyrie needs her partner."

That was when Dilrae reached their little group and helped Ashyr to her feet.

Phivucai's keen purple eyes darted from Caleldir to the valkyries and back. "My lord," she began. "With your approval, shall I go discuss acquiring valkyrie-style Holy Armor with those lovely ladies? I will take Vicora with me so they can size her."

"Certainly, but I thought only Dame Zesinil could make that sort of House-wide decisions," Caleldir responded. "And Haeshi is supposed to be my public face, no?"

"Yes, Dame Zesinil and Dame Faetha will have to make that sort of decision for the whole House, but as your secretary, I can talk for our entourage. As for Haeshi, normally I would have her negotiate these things, but she needs to discuss things with you right now."

"Indeed!" Haeshi said gleefully. "I really do have a lot to discuss. But..." she hesitated. "Lady Aster, would you mind if I took your place for this discussion? It seems like you want to talk to the Valkyries anyway."

"Alright!" Aster responded brightly. She dismounted, sprouted wings, and flew over to the other group in a matter of seconds.

Haeshi, her lovely sapphire eyes sparkling, danced onto Caleldir's lap where she began giving him a lap dance, teasing at penetration for a while before settling down onto him with a sigh. "Well, my lord," she began. "Let us discuss the public image you wish to project..."

Aster made her way over to the Valkyries and the little gathering around them. Ashyr greeted the young succubus in a tired tone. "Hey, Aster."

"Let's tear Caleldir away from his attendants for a while, just the two of us," Selene said as she landed next to her cousin. "Ugh, you're all sweaty." She waved away the grime from Ashyr.

"Why do you want to spend your time with that-" Hlara began to say.

Friava cleared her throat. "That man. We would like to spend more time with you today, Ashyr of Duskhaven."

"We probably won't get that much time with our consort; I'll be free in a couple of hours. And why do I spend time with that - ahem- man? It would be boring if I surrounded myself only with battle-hardened warriors," Ashyr explained, amused.

The valkyries looked confused.

"Caleldir's attendants want to talk to you two about your attractive outfits," Aster told them, changing the subject.

"Our armor? It is a Valkyrie specialty. Normally we don't share such secrets, but I think our new allies deserve some style and protection," Friava said. That was when the other drow reached them. They fell into talk of patterns and logistics with Aster easily smoothing over misunderstandings with her disarmingly sweet nature.

"I like Aster. We are lucky to have her," Ashyr observed while she and Selene walked back towards Caleldir.

"She is a good diplomat. Very convincing," Selene agreed. "Her mother did well to cultivate that sweetness of spirit."

Ashyr scoffed. "What? Really? You don't think that her kind nature is a weakness?"

"Why would I think that? I've seen it work in her favor many times. She is a bit naive, but not as much as she seems. Yes, she'd be eaten up in the Underdark, but we're not in the Underdark," Selene explained. "I like her better than I like Dahlia. She is suited to Caleldir as his familiar. Dahlia just uses the power to walk over everyone."

"True. You think she'll keep doing that?"

"And risk breaking contracts and suffering the wrath of Naliira and her daughter? The tether that Queen Alycyrl put on her is now just a small bonus compared to that," Selene said with confidence. "We'll keep an eye on her still. We can always count on her to twist the rules to her favor."

"I would say that it was really dumb of you all to summon Dahlia in the first place, but she's done us more good than harm. Her seduction and the connections she's making with Clatchleom..."

"We should have known what would happen. We should have protected Caleldir better. We are lucky that things ended up as well as they have. All it cost was a few more gangbangs than Caleldir would have chosen for himself."

"That's all? You hate having to share your toys with so many people," Ashyr observed.

"Oh yes! Caleldir has gained far too many women. Far too many. Most of those were not Dahlia's fault. If anyone is to blame, it's his meddling sister goddesses. And Jhul'une's absolutely idiotic mother."

Ashyr grunted in acknowledgment. "I wish there weren't so many too. I sometimes fantasize about being on the road again. Traveling night after night, banging each other two or three times a day... there were a lot of worries, but things were so simple: get power and resources to stomp our brothers into submission."

As they drew closer to Caleldir's little group, Haeshi and his conversation ended. It had been something silly about whether the sex appeal that made drow want to dominate him could be utilized for political points. Haeshi seemed to think it was one of his best traits, Caleldir would rather not think about it.

"Caleldir. We're taking you away," Selene said, as they had reached Caleldir's chair. "Attendants, you may be excused. You have work to do."

Haeshi and Ishtar, the only two remaining attendants, looked at each other uncertainly. "Yes, go," Ashyr told them. "I'm sure there are several people around who can tell you what needs to be done before we move here. Find Dahlia or something."

"We will give you more specific instructions later," Selene concluded.

"Yes, mistresses," Ishtar said. "Though, instead of Dahlia, I believe that Mistress Fedwyn wanted to see me." The chimeric maid curtsied (always a strange gesture for a nude woman) and hurried off.

Haeshi did not seem to want to dismount. "I... just got here!" she said in a sad tone.

Caleldir sighed, rolled his eyes, smiled, and gave her a hug and a gentle kiss. "We can talk about how best to use my 'Aura of Irresistibly Dominant Submission' later, Haeshi. I can tell that you will do a very fine job as my public face. Your initiative and creativity are admirable indeed. But that will have to wait. I promise to get with you soon." He gave her another smile and dropped his faerie veil.

Haeshi blushed furiously and pulled off of Caleldir. She stared at the ground, fidgeting a bit. "As... as you wish, my lord," she murmured. "When... ah... when we get together later, can it be in my private room in the Duskhaven Silver quarters?"

Caleldir stood up and stretched. "Of course, Haeshi." He took her chin in his hand, pulled her gaze up to his own, their equally sapphire eyes meeting. He gave her another glorious smile. "I know why you want to meet me there, and I look forward to it." He gave her another kiss.

Haeshi, stammering something, hurried away. Caleldir turned to Ashyr and Selene. "Well, that went well. Let's go somewhere less open. We all have a lot to talk about now."

"You liking your secretaries, Cal?" Ashyr asked with a smirk.

"Haeshi is not my secretary," Caleldir sniffed. "Phivucai is."

Selene rolled her eyes. "We have a problem now: Caleldir's manhood is out in the open," she observed. Her eyes began to glow and Caleldir began to float. "Let me take care of that."

Ashyr watched as Selene herself rose from the ground and settled onto Caleldir's cock as if she was riding a fancy carriage. "Really, Selene? He can't walk inside without being ridden?"

"We need to be dedicated to this process, else the inconvenience will carry on far too long," Selene responded haughtily.

"I can't disagree." Caleldir put his hands underneath Selene's rear to hold her up. It was not necessary, given her flight spell, but it made him feel more secure all the same. "I need to work on my own flight magic. Since Goelon's final exorcism, I have had some trouble recreating all of his powers. I think the succubi drain too much of my energy and make a lot of my magic more difficult than ever. Anyway, lead the way, Ashyr!"

"That's a problem that can't be helped. Perhaps Incubus Caleldir will have a better time coping," Selene said as she floated the two of them behind Ashyr.

The three of them went back inside and through the teleportation room into the chamber beyond. Not certain where to go, Ashyr wandered the passages a bit until she came upon a side room. It wasn't furnished, but it was private.

"I still have our traveling gear," Selene said with a small smile of nostalgia. She produced a pieced-together mat and let it flutter to the floor. "It's been a long time since we've had to use it."

"Not since before we got Risa. No, before that. Althaia had that nymph bedding that we used since meeting her. Why do you still have it?" Ashyr asked.

"I had room," Selene shrugged.

Caleldir sat down with a sigh, still holding Selene. "This old mat does bring back memories. That was only last year. Feels almost as long ago as when I was the Master Librarian now."
