My 2 cents

You continue to write a fantastic story. I like the story line and the characters. I will enjoy the next chapter just as much. Thanks for your time and your imagination.

Well done, very well done...

I am reading about 20 stories serially, as chapters are released. When I run out of new chapters, I go stumbling through the archives, letting chance lead the way.

In the last foray, I read 40-50 different stories from 6-7 different writers, over 7-10 days. When I checked my list of "In Progress" stories, I found a half dozen updates.

I don't always recognize the tale by its title in the list of "In Progress", particularly when I'm only a few chapters into a tale, (one I'm 130+ chapters, and 3 years into, another I'm 60+ chapters, but only a few months into.)

It isn't until I begin to read a new chapter, see the character names, and remember a bit of the plot, that I connect back with any particular story.

One thing is for certain, Enchanted has become an "In Progress" I growing to like more, and more. When I start thinking about the characters or plot, when I'm reading another writer, or when I'm not reading, at all; then you've really got me.

Your twisted little tale, delightful characters and your conflicted protagonist are top notch creations, and you should be proud. Some of the protag's internal struggle remind me of a SciFi/Fantasy series by Stephen R Donaldson I read ~25 years ago.

Donaldson's conflicted protag carried a staff as well, but he was missing several fingers on one hand, due to leprosy, which made wielding his staff difficult, at the best of times. Other times, he couldn't grasp it, let alone wield the power it, and the gold wedding band he wore on the damaged hand, combined to give him.

I'm struggling to recall the titles of the series, but it is a great read. Equally on par with Tolkien, but much darker. I highly recommend it. (If this damn iPad would permit it, I would search the info, but if I leave this tab, my comment would be lost -- damn I hate Apple.)

Thanks for sharing Enchanted.

Regards,

GeoD

I've been away for about a year and a half, but I've been very busy writing on my Patreon site (https://www.patreon.com/booksbyjason). I came back to shamelessly self-promote and toss a few more stories on here to try and win some people over. Currently I'm posting some more ...
