François tried to stand up and run away, even though his mind knew it was a stupid idea. He was on an isolated island in the middle of the sea. However, he didn't even get that far. As soon as he tried to leave his chair, his legs collapsed, and he fell on the floor.
"Careful, Mr. Dupont, I told Annette to add a little something to your champagne. Running around might be difficult for the next hours."
François tried to say something, but he felt dazed and stiffened. He resisted for a few seconds, but in the end he couldn't stand it anymore, and he blacked out.
