I read it, but it took every ounce of concentration I had... Read like a technical textbook. I don't mind higher level reading, just makes it VERY hard to get into!

When he said he liked inflicting cruelty on those who deserve it, which made him out to be a cruel person himself. Well-written in a technical way but I had no sympathy for either character, so that shot any eroticism (if that's what you were aiming for).
