Rather mean spot to end the chapter... I'm eager to know what direction this story heads, but I'm afraid I don't have a clue at the moment where it's headed - to an intriguing plot - a session of nonconsent - some sort of fantasy - or mystery drama. Even whether the protagonist will rise triumphant or a broken shadow of himself. Usually you can predict these things by the first paragraph.

Anyways, I can't say I'd like every potential direction this could head, but it is a tantalizing start.
