I enjoyed this story. So often we see stories of people coming to accept submission, so rarely do we see the flip side.

I loved his epiphany, his (very delayed) realization of the truth of his wife's nature. It was good that his dominance had developed in the years they were together, and that he was now willing to accept it.

“ I knew it was a deeply seated part of her, but it made me feel like I had to meet her more than halfway in a lot of places just to have a stable, normal home life. “

And this is why grossly mismatched Dom/sub relationships will always fail. Trust me I’ve been there. One of you will just get too worn out.

Beautiful depiction of bdsm. For some it's a way to spice up their sex life a bit, they want it, for some it makes them uncomfortable because they don't understand it, but for a fair few, it's a lifestyle, a part of who they are, a need.

You did a great job on how it can be difficult for people who need it and people who don't, it's difficult to understand if you don't need it as well.

Usually on Literotica the stories that really get me are the ones that are scratching an itch. This one isn't scratching any kind of itch, its not on the themes I usually enjoy. But despite that its so well written, the characters so considerately painted, especially for a short story, that I'd call it one of the best and most erotic reads on the site.

I really disliked the concept: mixing up reality and BDSM, and adding children to a fucked-up relationship, so totally unerotic for me, but I can't deny the narrator sounds real (if someone I'd hate) and the story is well-told.

I enjoyed this a lot as an appealing blend of bdsm and romance. I couldn't disagree more with Kumqatqueen's opinion. The relationship didn't seem fucked up at all to me. On the contrary, I thought you convincingly portrayed it as based on real love and empathy, but like so many couples in love, these two have some issues to resolve.

I relate a little bit to the character of Alex, because I've dabbled in BDSM as a Dom, and greatly enjoyed it, but I'm not by nature a true dominant. I can relate to the struggle when two people are trying to navigate their way through BDSM play while also navigating a relationship. Reading one's partner correctly is always a challenge, whether during play time or real time. That seems real to me and I thought you handled it well.

I’m a fan of Kumquatqueen and her writing but in this case I agree with SimonDoom. It’s very well written and comes across as very loving, the word choice is excellent, especially when he tells her he’s going to breed her. I’ll attempt to split the difference in that I think the story also covers nicely the difference in that somebody like Alex practices compartmentalization whereas Linh doesn’t or is unable to, the “natural” comment. Alex figured out to love her was to take what he wanted.

The overwhelming majority of the BDSM stories I read on this site seem like some old Fetlife fantasy more than anything in which I can find a degree of realism. Living an actual BDSM life is not an easy thing. This has some truths in it and is quite well told. 5* from me
