Nice start, but please do more than 1 page chapters going forward. It is frustrating to get going reading something and have it rapidly end abruptly. This does not allow the reader to get into the story, but isolates them on the outside.

You are developing this story nicely. Matt and Carter can grow together in their love at their pace. Keep them loving. They will need each other's support.
