Is the author just skipping over some parts or does this guy really never last more than like 30 seconds?

Sorry! Yes, as I've commented elsewhere, I'm impatient - also I do try and spend considerable time on characters, buildup, having fun with the dialogue. 'Fraid your imagination may have to supply the duration. Anyway, I think my female characters especially, prefer intensity, repeats, creativity over time taken - well, I'm hoping so, anyway ;) ;) ;)
