Excellent seduction story of an overly protected, foolish young girl, and a brazen, roguish, young seducer. I liked the 1947 setting idea, but you could have done more with it. Even in 1947 people knew about condoms and birth control, after all. Not Gladys, given how innocent and naive she seemed to be, but George surely did. I wonder what happens to the two of them afterwards? I imagine it's not pretty, given the hints you dropped about George's personality. 5* ~~ JBE
Two minor points: Even in 1947, I don't believe any young woman would have worn fur and pearls to a "sock hop." And I don't believe Triumphs ever had bench seats -- always bucket seats.
Wealthiest family in post-War Manhattan would have been a Rockefeller, who weren't Catholics.
Much overdone for a first date and way overdone for a girl's first 5 inch fuck when in truth she will be under impressed and more worried about being knocked up.
But 'moves along' much too fast, with far too much lack of details., details that would have made for the missing eroticism.
Average. The Triumph Roadster did have a bench seat and a column mounted manual gear change lever, but I'm doubtful if there was room for her to straddle him as described.
