A man like your protagonist should be castrated and burned alive.

You say the characters are human. Well, humans experience love, lust, joy, sorrow...guilt. The only emotion your male and female protagonist reveal is lust, there is no guilt over betraying a loved one or stabbing your best friend in the back. At no point does anyone portray anything resembling "human" emotions or responses.

So at what point do we see them as human? At what point do we see an internal struggle between being faithful to the man you love or even guilt at betraying your best friend.

If her husband is such a douchbag that she can cheat on him with impunity, then why not just divorce him?

I think it’s hot as a fantasy story but when this happens in real life it’s fucked up. Wives do cheat , guys fuck there friends wives / girlfriends and it’s all fucked up. Cheaters deserve to get caught and any dirtbag that would fuck his friends wife deserves to get caught and destroyed. Wives in general are off limits but a friends wife or in this case a best friends wife is totally out of the equation. Situations like this is what a double murder suiicide on the news is about.

As they say, “with friends like this, who needs enemies”. So how is

this supposed to work going forward? The disrespect will continue to

grow until nothing else is left . I have Little doubt that a very acrimonious estrangement or divorce Will take place ending years of a false friendship & marriage.
