Good set up and overall good writing, but it got repetitive. I know few of the stories here pass believability, but this one was a bit off the average in that regard as well.

but how does this story relate to the title?

all the tasks performed

all the jobs assigned

for her

and the boys

pertained to the day to day of the farm.

no mention was made regarding milking

Well Lena was hired by the grandmother to milk the cows for her so she could pick berries and make jam and do some canning. So grandma's milk maid.
