I did enjoy this story quite a lot, though as others have said the ending was perhaps not the best choice, but then that’s only a readers opinion and I'm sure most of us would chose that way to go out when it is out time = given the choice of course.

The writing was good, with only a few misused words that got missed in editing. It was a nice change to actually see a writer on here that knows how to use an en dash and an ellipsis correctly, as so many writers on here don’t.

There are frequent enough mistakes in grammar and, especially, misuse of words (wrong word / wrong meaning) to distract the reader constantly from the story. It reads as if written by someone whose first language is something other than English, but who has studied English A LOT.
