Beautiful. Wet cheeks here. You have captured that capacity we have as people to rebuild life when it is lost. thank you for this one.
Trionyx, great job with another wonderful tale. It's touching and well written. Best wishes to you in the contest.

80+ y/o father of 6 and grandfather of 11 knows a love story when he reads it. This was a wonderful tear jerker. I’ll now share it with my wife. 5 hankies & 5 stars. Thank you.
Lovely. Well written, credible characters (the kids are great), and enough sadness to keep it real. I enjoyed it. Thank you
One of the best I've read, and I've been reading them since 1999. Definitely a 5++
Well done, five stars!! Just read this while waiting at the airport for my flight, and your story had me tearing up here in the airport lounge. Good fortune in the contest!
A wonderfully written, emotional story that touched me. 5 big stars from me!
Good story, and yes there awful people out there in the world that commit dreadful acts and destroy families, it’s not often that’s faced in a story here, escapism being far more common.
From a storytelling pov, it would have helped if you’d dealt with the Ex-Husband in some way, maybe him dying in prison or some such device, but as you left it, his hate and vitriol will end up destroying the lives of all four of the main characters, as it was I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Thanks for writing and posting, cheers Ppfzz. 4⭐️
Most of us are in some way broken; some just a little, some a whole lot. Nothing mends this brokenness quite like love. Thank you for reminding us of that. 5 stars.
5 stars with no reservation. Honestly you brought tears to an old guys eyes, a beautiful yet tragic story, love triumphing over adversity. Having suffered a burst septic appendix, I fully understand how close to death he was. She was dead inside too from the trauma that nobody should have to go through but as you pointed out these things happen in life, sadly too often.
What about the sex? It was beautifully done love making to celebrate them saving each other.
Thank you, Andy
Very well written enjoyable story. Will have to read some of your other stories.
Really heartwarming story, and nothing exceptionally "brutal" about it--although it is a tad shocking--but nothing extreme and I personally didn't see the need for the warning, as it is sadly something that does happen in some relationships and ends them quite tragically.
That segued into her trying to dispel her trauma and having quite the rough time of it. Thanks for painting Red as a gentleman and picturing him the patient guy. You didn't rush the story and (seemingly) let it unfold into a lovely flower we waited to see bloom. Bree and Billy certainly sweetened things and kept them real too.
You seemed to consider all the angles on this one and rendered each one correctly. Well done. 5
beautiful definitely 5 stars. maybe more if i am allowed. Only one negative you made me cry and that is not the intention of reading a story here
So sad to start with as the stories emerged but wonderfully moved into a beautiful love story with a nice bit of erotica thrown in. Well done.
So refreshing to read a story with some romance and a smattering of appropriate sex. Thank you and now back to your previously published library! I have some catching up to do.
Cheers

I absolutely loved it! Trust me, your Halloween submission and mine are the only two that I have seen so far that were even readable. There were several other tales that had potential, but they all failed to hold on to my interest. I easily became invested in your story though. Excellent work!!!
I’m emotionally wrung out and covered with my tears after reading your story. It was romantic and very well written. Sniff, sniff.
Beautiful. I love the restraint and gentle pace. Thanks for another great story, and good luck in the competition!
Briliant story, and a triumph of authorship. It must have been very difficult to keep it from becoming mawkishly sentimental or falling flat and pedestrian. It seemed so well observed and so accurately written that it brought the characters and the story to life.
This was not a masterpiece. But, DAMN, it was wonderful, and I loved the way you told it to me.
Five stars and a heartfelt Thanks.
Great story. Well paced. But what I liked the most about the story is that the main characters were regular people. More often than not the male character is usually a tall guy with ripped body, packing a big gun and the female character looks like supermodel. The attraction in this story was more organic and based on emotions. I am sure everybody has their own preferences, but I personally like these kind of stories. Great job. Good luck with your future writings.
What a beautiful romantic confection. Thank you for sharing it with us. 5*'s
Homo sapiens = rational, reasonable Or sensible being thats what we are “calling” ourselves ….. the top of all beings ….. unfortunately “Pride comes before a fall” and so we homo sapiens havn’t learned living peaceful together or playing this male ego games ….. so sharons ex isn’t a singular example and war is a outcome from such simple mimds …. Moving on after such horrific tragedy is a wonder like and yeah kids can heal and patience is a extraordinary ability …. A truly fantastic tale and writing about daily horror and still making it readable is magnificent

I can only call this story heartwarming, beautiful, and a pleasure to read. The story was down to earth, didn’t drag, and we watched Sharon’s healing as we progressed. I am glad you didn’t rush the ending. Sharon needed to ro be healed before the story could come to it’s expected conclusion. 5 stars
Take care
