Thank you for a very entertaining and well-written story in the spirit of writers of the 1930's-50's. I don't really think it needs much adjustment. (I was hoping for a different ending---but then again I am a sucker for "happy endings"--in more ways than one!) lol. A very good read!!

After some of what I have seen lately, it is nice to read something well written again. That was a decent crime story and it makes me want to read more of your work.

Absolutely fabulous story...Reading it felt so real. Don't wait too long for a sequel...I want to see Les and Dinah together again......5 Stars!!!!!

I'm a sap for a happy ending and really wanted one here. 5* but you broke my heart.

The mistaken single star

My sincerest apology for the 1 Star - it was supposed to be a 5 Star 🌟 but My stupid finger brushed the wrong spot and it doesn't let me change it. Your story was excellent and kept me thoroughly entertained..If you could somehow remove the one Star, I will be happy to add 5 in its place.

I rarely comment, but this was what I look for, a story, and I really enjoyed all of it. Thank you

It was like listening to the radio back at about 1954 or 1955. Those great old cop dramas we used our imaginations to make far more real and exciting than the television would a couple of years later. Great story and a five only because they do not allow a ten.

I'm really sad that they didn't end up together.

It was an exceptional story. Dinah was too level-headed. I still think that Les could find her in his hometown. Haircoloring, colored contacts and a new identity could eliminate her fear of being killed. What do you think. They deserve to

reunite. Please! Older and wiser. Make her a widow with three children, all boys.

Having NYPD as family for 100 years + and knowing NYC well found the entire piece

remarkably plausible...

5 Stars! Really well done. I do love a HEA, so I'm hoping this isn't for them. Guess we'll have to wait and see. , Either way, it's a really well told story.

Terrific. Well Told. Thanks for and exceptional story.

Nicely done! Mickey would be proud.

I love a HEA but in this scenario that's as close as we can get to one. Well told and seemed very plausible. 5 from me.

The first story...

,,,of yours I've read (I think) and all I can say is "Congratulations". Good clear story-line, well-written, a first-rate five-star read. Thanks.

In the end, the good guy is supposed to get the girl!!!! Ho Hum! Lots of action, but the finish left a lot to be desired!

Great story very entertaining

An exceptional bitter-sweet tale, by a master story teller. Though highly rated a few complained about the ending. I hope you read it, and join me in saying the end was perfect.

4/4/24 Update: "Crossed Paths," a story of old friends reuniting, was recently published for the Wicked Games challenge, in which everything isn't as it seems. Hope you'll read and enjoy! If you're looking for something older, you might try "The Valentine's Dance," a late 1...
