This story is hot, yet incredibly adorable at the same time. The love and passion of their lovemaking brought me to tears. The realism in the story also helps add more emotion, especially when Jeff goes slow with Sarah because of her past instead of just going at it. Thank you for this story!!!

WOW what a story. Where are you now, we need some more of these kinds of stories. I for one was molested (raped) as a child, so this hit home big time. The trust issues never really go away. Great story.

My third time reading this. An awesome story and told with such warmth and feeling that it is an inspiration to all readers and writers alike.

I send my appreciation and comments, when first I read your story, as accolade and kudos were and are richly deserved for a well constructed, gripping, charming, tender and heartwarming story.

I liked it back then, but at that time had no realisation of the importance and value it would have some years later, nor the ironic parallels.

Six months ago I was involved in a near fatal motorcycle collision; lucky to have survived (Grateful thanks to N.H.S. Paramedics!) although suffering a splenectomy and shattered pelvis. I emerged after three months in hospital with multiple scars (my chest & stomach resemble the London Underground map!) My Hero is my now girlfriend who visited me constantly and rebuilt my confidence as I slowly recovered, despite fighting far worse battles of her own. She didn't give up (just as Jeff didn't) despite me trying to push her away (as Sarah tried) because I too felt unattractive, damaged and worthless. When I reread this recently, I asked my GF to read your story, for its similarity to ours and she agreed; she was much enamoured of the poignancy, bathos and tenderness (particularly where Sarah gives Jeff a 'bed-bath' & when J & S finally make love)

I wish this story was longer, I feel like so much more could have been done with it. A love story like this deserves multiple installments. I think if it was written more like "Colleen" by Texas Ranger, a story accounting a couples entire life together including children and marriage would be a nice style to model this after. Other than that, I have read this story three times and plan to do so again. 10/10

I spend too much time in Loving Wives, and this is a perfect palate cleanser. It's not a criticism, but I'd like to see more of the friendship between Jeff and Paige, and maybe how Paige decided that Jeff is what Sarah needed. This comes from wishing the story was longer.

This is one of those gems that a you don't just find satisfying to reread, but even have favorite sections to reread. Enough said. Thank you.

A well written emotional story, very moving

As someone who has been through a shattering break-up, I can completely understand Sarah's position. Stories like this make me wonder if there's a person out there that can help me come out of my shell.

Write your own story with all of the BS you wanted. I will tell you tell you in Advance if you wrote a story that's one page I'd rate it a one and say it's one page too long with too much BS to read.

Two people meet under unsual cirstumates and find true love. Was it Karma or something that was ment to be? Only the writer only knows for sure# 5 star story, will we read more about them I hope so.

This is a wonderful story... I really love the emotions as they grew closer and overcame the problems... It felt like such a real story... Absolutely wonderful !!!

It was about 4 pages too long.

Things I would like to have seen:

* they are both fucked by a minotaur

* they meet again years later and there is an orgy with a sex cult

* the rapists come to take revenge on the guy and she kills them ....slowly

* three-some with both sisters

I like the stories by many eyed hydra, rapists are killed left and right and it is only 2-3 pages long.

I first read this story years ago and enjoyed it. Then today, clicked a link for this story as the title sounded interesting. I didn't remember the story at first, until our hero was in the hospital and couldn't see. Then I slowly remembered as we got to the big reveal.

It's ironic - we call wild animals "savage", yet the adjective better applies to Sarah's rapist. He gave her the scar in a fit of spiteful anger, an emotion unique to humans.

I fully understand Sarah's desire to hide, as we instantly judge people when we meet them, typically concentrating on the physical - ethnicity, appearance, height, weight. And yet, none of us can control our ethnicity, our height, and in the case of Sarah, her scar. But she is right, people will notice it and fixate on it.

I don't remember if I left a comment then, but my feedback would have been the same. I'm glad Sarah found someone who appreciates her for who she is, and not based on her appearance - though I can't help but wonder if the same result would have occurred had Jeff had his sight - I sincerely hope so.

It's always nice to run across this story once in a while and reread it :) Just awesome! ...I was reading a comment below that was complaining that he never says I love you to her at the end, I hadnt noticed it, but sure enough! She says it to him a few times and he just stays quiet. You know he loves her but now its bugging me, like that bad vibe where one party is in love and the other doesnt want to commit or give false hopes so says nothing, lol.

A Tale rich in content, thought and is VERY well written. Your knowledge of the Martial Arts, particularly the philosophy many of us try to live, was impressive as well. This was beyond, SO far beyond a typical read and spank the monkey that it nearly defies description. An ACTUAL, fully developed story (with some very nicely written spice) like you would read in a book or something. I will be reading your other work as well. WELL DONE, Sir!

Even though she knew, felt it in every bone in her body, he NEVER said I love you. Why? Words even if not necessarily needed are still extremely important. So tell me author why didn't the hero say I love you? THAT has always bothered me ever time I read this beloved story.

There is real emotional depth to this story which rewards reading and re-reading. The story draws the reader in from the start and makes you really care about the characters. Jeff, the eponymous hero, is filled with self doubt, Sarah is damaged and her family have suffered right along with her yet somehow the story manages to heal these damaged people without ever being cloying or overly sentimental.

This definitely will be read and re read. You have a way with words, please continue to grace us with your written talents
