Let's start with character design/development. Obviously we haven't gotten too far into the story to have much development, but we already see Ben beginning to accept his sexuality and his submissiveness. BDSM, when done safely, can be a genuinely beneficial to people with anxiety or other issues with control and responsibility, or lack thereof. I appreciate that you made it clear from the beginning that this is more than just kinky sex for Ben, and probably Eric too. Not that there's anything wrong with just kinky sex, but having this additional layer of healing makes it more meaningful. Ben is anxious and stressed, and this relationship with Eric allows him to let that go for awhile, to give up control and responsibility to a person he trusts. From their very first encounter with the kneeling, we knew that submission was helping to relieve some of Ben's anxiety, and I like that part of his character design. The development as he begins to open up and accept himself will be even better.
