Click hereJackie looked like she was about to cry. Mike looked pissed. Connie stood up and said the words I dreaded the most.
"Nonsense!" she said, hands on her hips. "They can stay here! We have plenty of room. We don't need both beds anyway, and we have the living room and kitchen. It will be fun to all be together!"
"That sounds like a great idea!" Mike said, finishing his beer and getting himself another.
"Oh, we wouldn't want to impose on you two love birds," Jackie said, but the hopeful look on her face was hard to deny.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Connie cut me off, "We don't mind at all. We discussed this earlier and agreed that if there were any problems, you two could stay here. Didn't we, Bob?" She looked at me, expectantly.
In fact, all three of them stared at me, waiting for my response.
"Uh," I began. No! No! Fucking no! I wanted to shout. I looked from Jackie to Connie and let out a sigh. "Right. Yeah, you guys can stay here."
"Cool," Mike shouted, then lay back on the bed closest to the balcony. "Dibs on this bed!"
"Uh, that's our bed," I said, but Connie contradicted me.
"It's fine," she said. "We don't care."
Now, I definitely needed a beer. I went to the refrigerator and got one, cracked it open, and took a sip.
Connie glared at me. "Don't be so rude! How can you have a beer without getting one for all of us?"
"What?" I asked.
"Get Jackie and me one, too!" Connie said, scolding me.
I shook my head and took out two more beers, noticing how quickly they were disappearing, and handed one to each of the girls.
"This will be fun," Connie said with a big smile. "Cheers, everybody!"
Jackie opened her beer and smiled, "Cheers!"
Mike farted, long and loud.

myassisdragin11 months agoMike would have been over that balcony railing so fast if it was my reservation. And as fir just helping himself to MY beer an d other beverages, that would get his ass kicked. Friends don't grab like that without asking POLITELY..
Then again us Canadians are more polite... LOL

2) he graduated early and went to college on a Full ride
3) he interned at a tech firm during college and was hired into a fast track program when he was 20
4) he invented several new technologies that landed him rapid advancement and accelerated pay
5) I didn't say the Porsche was new
6) Porsches in 1985 cost way less than today
7) $60,000 to $80,000 a year went a lot further in 1985 than today

PervertedKnightalmost 4 years agoI'm trying to wrap my head around the details of this story. This guy is 21, and it's the summer of 1985, which presumably means he was born in 1964. I was born in 1963, was one of the youngest persons in my hs.class, and had just finished my 4-year undergrad degree in 1985. The only way I would have been driving around in a Porsche 911 or living in a super condo would have been if my parents had paid for it, but our hero says his parents were dirt poor so that can't be it.. So were folks who didn't even have a college degree at age 21 really able to command a six-figure salary in 1985 in the IT industry when the PC was JUST coming out? I'll give this 3 stars and keep reading, but I would like to know if you're working on Act 2 of the incubus/succubus story? Thanks!
