This already great story keeps getting better. I think I know where it is heading. I say think because occasionally a good author will fool me. But if it leads where I expect, that in no way detracts from the masterful way you told the story. In fact, as much as I usually like an author to surprise me, this is one I really hope I guessed right.

I like the build-up...you're keeping a good pace with the anticipation. I'm not a huge fan of the single page chapters, you may have already lost some readers for that, but it's a preference thing. Keep writing!
