Your story, "It was a Dream, Wasn't It" has haunted me for two months, and caused me untold loss of sleep. I keep wondering what Steve would do next, and what I would have done in his situation.

I think the story was well written, and that you have gotten flamed so bad because readers expected a nice jerk-off story, when it turned nasty and queer.

One frustration is that we don't know Steve's personality or his ongoing relationship with his wife. Is he a lazy lump who drinks beer and watches sports all weekend, and isn't much interested in sex? Is he attentive and helpful, sharing housework? For the sake of this discussion I will assume the latter.

It seemed that there was a discontinuity - how could a supposed dream have covered events in two weekends? Was the first weekend an accepted reality, meaning that Steve was ready for regular "swinging" and just the second weekend a possible dream?

Please let me suggest an Epilog. I hope I inspire you to write up these or similar ideas or embellish them as you see fit. Please make Steve not come out a total loser in the end. We get so tired of stories about wimpy, beaten-down cucks!

The story ends with Steve wondering if he had a horrible dream. Here's what I suggest should follow...
