1* just for the cliche attitude that pit bulls are vicious, its not the breed asshole, its the assholes that teach them the be vicious!
Thanks for sharing. What a funny story.
As usual a fun story. As for the previous poster, why is that pit bulls are dogs of choice to train to be vicious? Could it be that they are bred for easy training? Most likely as it seems they are the watch dogs of choice.
It is a story for God's sake not political commentary.
all it takes is patience and opportunity. TK U MLJ LV NV
Lol - nice story.
BTW Pitbull's are NOT watchdogs. I even doubt it if they would defend the owner - they probably open the door for a burglar. If you want a watchtdog take a Dobermann.
Somebody beat me to it but I'll say it anyway.
SWEET
Excellent tale. Five Stars
Keep this cop around for more fodder, fingers crossed for pt 3 of keystone cops.
Just not very good, the characters are shallow and not likeable, and that would be okay if it was just the set up for a punch line but that wasn't even funny. Not up to your normal standards.
That poor detective didn't have a chance. Love your sense of humor. I couldn't stop laughing long enough to finish the story. Great job as always.
Couldn't stop laughing at the End Got the Boss -Owner with his own Dog and ruined the wife's good time. Got rid of Dog,Wife and Asshole in one Love It.
Boy, am I glad to see one of your ironic, hysterical stories again! I've been getting tired of re-reading the old ones again and again. Thanks for the morning chuckle.
Nice flash story. Five stars at least! Might hold off on the Interpol/DVD joke though; it is in other HDK stories so it has lost its bite . . .
But, no cops with Cook to eat donuts. Really good tale for chuckling.
Loved the repartee between Moore and Cook. It sounded like something out of a Joss Whedon production.
It was classic. I would have loved to have read further what occurred between husband and wife after the detective had left. 5 stars.
even though it's only a page long... not in the mood, I guess...
the wife was proven to be a slut and the boss got the short end of the deal
I loved that you brought back the "Not Guilty" detective. That was classic comedy. Thank you HDK.
If you kibble a man's wife, you will get bit #rimshot
thank you, good night, remember the two drink minimum.
Keep them coming, HDK.
But I gave you 5*'s cos it was pretty funny!
Great reading some new work from you.
I could watch the Abbott and Costello "who is on first" routine every day and enjoy it. Repeating a joke is not a bad thing.
And thanks for presenting us with the *perfect* 'short' story! <rimshot!>
Not up to your usual standards for a humorous story of this type but still a pleasant read. There was an integral part missing or more accurately left to the imagination. It needed a segment with the wife and her boss in the bedroom with the dog dangling from his crotch!
Looking forward to more of your work soon.
Attacks and injures a person in your house. He's admitted to its presence, he's admitted to training it and he's admitted that his wife's lover was the intended victim. As for the hapless detective, he would have arrested and charged the cuckold, which would be even funnier because in addition to becoming public knowledge that his wife found satisfaction with another man, now he's goin to prison for aggravated assault and he's likely to become the prison bitch, so now he's going to get all the fucking he wants....and then some.
Any dog is a good watch dog. They'll bark and wake you up. Then they'll watch. I'm a lab guy; love em.
Silly story. Great to read
Thanks!
I just bursted out at the end. And a good hearthy laugh it was.
5* ...thank you, HDK... always a pleasure to read your latest...
New twist on the Red Herring, a Red Kielbasa.
Somehow it feels as though we know these two characters from an earlier story.
Thank you, a now will have a chuckle in me for the rest of the day!
My wife just looked at me funny as I was chuckling all the way through this one!
5 BITING Stars! LOL *snicker chuckle* :D
He trained the dog, his wife, and his wife's boss all with one technique. Too funny. I enjoyed the detective redux.
It proves the axiom "He who laughs last, ...".
but you've just been promoted.
Very well done.
it raised barely a titter. But as it was supposed to be humorous - I give it 1* for wrong category.
Now that is what I call revenge on the wife's lover and he did not commit any crime. Now I bet she will be getting divorced. To bad he couldn't train the dog to bite the wife. I'd. Love to see her face after it happen and even a day later.
This story is another of your classics! Anyone who didn't give it a 5 is just jealous that they didn't write it!
If anyone does not know it then this story proves it. How you ask? Well HIV liked it, and that is so very rare an occasion that it has to be noted. Loved the wit. *****
That's a good one. Got a two for one special on bitch removal there, didn't we.
"'Are you with Interpol?' I quickly asked. 'No, and I don't give a damn about copied DVD's.'"
"'So you did have that miserable mean bitch living in this house?' 'Yes and she insisted on letting the dog stay, so there was little I could do,' I responded as my questioner once again showed signs of being agitated."
HDK is the king of grins this morning - put a big smile on my face. [Not only that, Harry liked it!]
Very cleverly told. Did you know that you are one of the best here in LW? Did you know that we look forward to any stories you write? Oops two questions! Sorry
Ha HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
Cough ,cough.
Damn, that's a good one! Be still my heart.

It pains me to give a good story only 4 stars. Why only four? The ignorance displayed by the author towards pit bulls. Ignorance like that and miscreants mis using the breed are why so many wonderful dogs are out to death each day. I understand why the dog in the story had to be mean...although any dog could have been trained to attack offensive boss sausages.
Another gem as funny as my favorite “Not Guilty”.
Welcome back HDK. And I found it hilarious that when I clicked to post a comment I didnt realize the pun in the title. 5 star story.
A quick, sweet, and humorous tail. I loved it!
BDEarth
The chorus is singing your praise and it is nice to see a ray of sunshine after a long cold winter in your end of the world.
So much for breeding Margie. I guess the time never got right (at least for THAT bitch.) It was clearly right for the other one (up until this morning!) It CAN still all work out ... the Big Dog can take over for his (truncated) master in breeding Sweetie!
Bet that bleeds like a sonuvabitch!
5*
If the dog had been a psycho dacshund that bit it off:)
OMFG now I know what my husband was laughin at this morning hehe
HDK you need to do a series of stories about Detective Cook getting fucked with :)
Please HDK, why not a regular series...way too funny. 5+
Just didn't cut it for me, got up to a giggle but that's about it. 3*
Nevertheless, great short story.
Hopefully Detective Cook shows up again.
You are one of the bright spots in Loving Wives.
Anonymous Andy
HDK. I'm sure you could an equally amusing second chapter between your lead character, his wife and detective Moore. Made me smile.
Short and sweet! Well, okay--short and tasty, anyway!
There is no one, repeat NO ONE like Harddaysknight. He is the master!
Thanks, ohio
A classic by someone who knows how to craft them! 5 stars!!!
I missed you. This relieved the tension from all these wimpy cucky dufuses clogging this site. Please stick around this time.
HDK racks up another good one. Thanks - I really enjoyed it. Cheers!
I still don't like pit bulls but a good tail anyway.
This is more like it. I can almost forgive you for Lady in Red.
I will remember to train it correctly -
This way sounds good...
Green-something
Such brevity, such excellent storytelling. HDK shows again why he is the benchmark!!
"So you did have that miserable mean bitch living in this house?"
"Yes and she insisted on letting the dog stay..."
Classic! Thanks HDK

Loved 'Not Guilty'. This was just as clever and a nice separate, stand alone, short using the same outclassed detective.
I liked the story. A fun way to confront a bad situation.
A 5 star job. I especially liked the conversation with the cop. Welcome back HDK.
Poor detective. Too many wise cracking, smart mouthed cuckolds providing answers to how they legally took care of the trash. Too bad the job was always half done. In both stories the wife, while humiliated, escaped true retribution. Oh, well. I enjoyed the story anyway.
