"You are not going out there with Gravlith," I said flatly.
Alyssa frowned. "Yeah, he might not be so gracious about not getting what he wants if I went out with him."
"Doesn't matter. Not gonna happen now anyway. You don't like him and I don't like him, so it ain't happening. But you don't have to dodge him now. You can put all that on me."
"My hero," she smirked. "Anyway. Orrtraan."
"You want to go?"
"I do," she nodded, and looked just a touch guilty as she admitted, "I really do."
"It's okay," I told her. "You don't have to feel bad about this."
"First time with you involved," she shrugged.
"So what do we do? Is that bracer thingie like a phone?"
"More like voice mail," Alyssa explained. "You'll be amazed at their tech, but at these distances, even the Konlogath can't provide real time conversation. We send him a message saying we're interested, and then he comes back with an offer. It'll be all flowery and grandiose and humble at the same time. Chivalry. It's like having a knight come up to you in his regalia and bend his knee and offer you a rose."
I smirked. "'Hey, baby, doth thou want to bone with this humble lord?'"
Alyssa laughed. "Yeah, kinda. I have a lot of fun." Her hand still lingered on me. Her hair was swept over her shoulder, spilling onto my thigh behind her like a waterfall. She had that quiet smile of finally opening up about things she'd wanted to share for years. "Usually I can just take the first offer, but sometimes it's fun to negotiate a bit. To be honest, that's usually a sign that I'm willing to offer up more on my side, too."
"He said you'd be involved in affairs of state. Ceremony or whatever."
"Yeah. I thought that was part of it. I might be gone longer this time."
"Can I go out there with you?" I asked.
She knew that was coming, but was still hesitant to answer. "I can't tell you no. You're in charge now."
"Yeah, but there's formality and then there's reality," I told her. "You know I'm not gonna do anything that makes you too uncomfortable. Look, I'm not saying I want to hold your hand or go stand outside the door to listen if you yell for help. I just want to go be a tourist. And I'd like a better idea of what this is all about, sex aside."
"Kyle, I want you to understand that while I'm with a client, I'm basically his girlfriend and I play the part. I play it up. I even feel it, if we're having a good time and we connect. Nothing has ever gone as deep as you and I have tonight and I can't imagine anything ever will, but more often than not, there's something there. I'm probably gonna fawn all over Orrtraan if he really is a nice guy. I'm probably gonna be really horny for him, too, and it'll probably be obvious.
"I'm not saying I'm gonna give you the cold shoulder or be shitty to you, but I'm gonna be there for him, not you," she shrugged. "I might not even think twice about it. I don't know. But I don't want you to have to stew on that if it makes you uncomfortable."
"You think I'll be able to keep myself occupied while you're doing your thing?" I asked.
"Yeah," she shrugged. "I'm sure we could arrange guides or whatever. If this is what I expect it is, they're probably gonna roll out the red carpet and the compensation is probably gonna be impressive. Hell, you're the Lord of House McLoughlin and all that. You may well be an honored guest. They might not even consider taking care of you to be part of the arrangement."
I nodded. I just had this feeling about wanting to be around for whatever was going on—less the sex than all the other stuff. "Then let's do it," I said, and put a little pressure on her head to guide her face up to mine. Alyssa complied, smiling, refusing to let go of my cock while she turned her body and crawled up to me.
"Tomorrow," I said before we kissed.

Anonymousabout 2 months agoMost of his stories have a hot guy MC who ends up with a harem of girls with super fun and hot sexcapades, but invariably these turn out to be friends with benefits as both MC and most of the girls continue to play around with their own partners.
So maybe the lesson is that magic cock is a curse to be a man slut? What's the point of his magic skills if all his partners keep fucking around? The only reason to read new books is the thrill of a new girl joining the harem, some smut involving the girls and even the MC, but still I've not seen one story where the guy is good enough for a committed relationship; which is probably the point of these stories fun, smut, superficial
Anonymous3 months agoHe recently published book 1 of a new space SciFi erotica series, Hot Restart. It is supposed to be somewhere between his Good Intentions series (urban fantasy/erotica) and his Poor Man's Fight series (space SF, no smut). The audiobook is forthcoming, and his website just linked an interview with the voice actress like three months ago.
According to his Patreon, he's currently writing chapter 7 of book 5 of his Good Intentions series (book 5 is not counting the multiple anthologies he's put out)
Hot Restart, out on Amazon (not yet but soon as audiobook), being a erotic novel set in space might be the most similar of his books to this story.
johsunover 3 years agoThis is a good one. A real good one. It'd be nice for it to continue, but I can understand with all your 'real' books that this is/has/has to take a backseat.
I'm happy with what you've done here with this story and can see it as an end. I can almost not want to read about him going up to space with her, mostly because fo what she said about 'being' her client's girl. That would have to feel some anguish. But then again, he's got other girls at home, and maybe he could do an alien woman.

The story is more demanding of the author from this point on due to the creation and exploration of an alien space race(s), tough! This is too good not to complete! I'm a long-time reader of your stories, and would like to send you a short review of "Natural Consequences".
I enjoyed Natural Consequences. To me, it's a story about conflict; or as Rachel says: "Check out how I balance my personal and career commitments.". Rachel, Lorelei and Amber all have conflicting personal and career commitments.
Ambers' dilemma is plain to see for everyone. As a woman, she's falling in love with Jason. As an FBI agent, she's betraying Jasons' trust.
Rachels' problem is spelled out loud and clear, too: Rachel must protect Alex because of the bond. But Rachel can't tell Alex about Amber's treason because of her job.
Similarly, Lorelei must protect Alex because of the bond; and Lorelei can't be with other men because her master ordered so. On two occasions, the only way Lorelei can protect Alex is by seducing his enemies; once with Bridger when Lorelei is handcuffed and jailed and once with Jared the werewolf, during the final fight with Diana. On both occasions, the bond has priority over Alex' orders.
I believe that the book would improve from having Lorelei's dilemma spelled out in full, for the benefit of the reader. Lorelei's seduction of Bridger does not mean Lorelei can disregard Alex' orders at will; merely that protecting her master has priority, even over her master's orders.
"It's Legal on Other Planets!" is much more light-hearted: No intricate plot. Politically incorrect. Physically impossible. Questionable storyline. "It's Legal on Other Planets!" is great, unpretentious fun. I would love to see another chapter in the series.
On that note, a story idea suggestion:
Officers Johnson and Murray, after psychological screening, security clearance and firearms training with anti-vampire bullets (courtesy of Wade), become the go-to guys within the Seattle police dept. for supernatural stuff.
But when things get rough, Officer Murray finally gets to meet the two bad-ass private contractors of the supernatural taskforce, the two witches he's heard so much about: Molly and Onyx.

TJSkywindabout 9 years agoI enjoyed this, and it does sort of beg for more. That said, I also really like the Lorelei, Rachel, and Alex stories. And yes, I bought both from Amazon. Bought Poor Man's Fight, too, though I haven't had time to read it yet. Have your book to read (and I'm sure once I do, I'll buy the sequel), a new one from JD Robb waiting, and sink me, but some readers are asking me to do some writing of my own.
Just read this tale tonight, and again, enjoyed it. If the perspective bothers you, just change it. Switch to third person. You da boss. It's allowed.

Anonymousover 9 years agoWell it has been a few years now. For the longest time i was waiting for the next chapter. But i guess you considered the story finished with the return of Alyssa and the finished set up for their continued lives together.
So now I am begging you, BEGGING YOU I SAY!!! To continue Kyle and Alyssa's story in a sequel, Where we see their continuing adventures. and Please include Allyssas friends to. I kind of hoped that the four of them would end up together. And perhaps have some children in the future, . Well, I am a romantic at heart. And think of all the adventure waiting out there in space!!! And even on Earth. I am sure a writer as good as you, could come up with something really good. And let us not forget Kyle's wish of helping the earth.
