But why doesn't a _Boston_ terrier have a Southie accent???

I'm not sure, but I think they used a male dog for Lassie so they didn't have to worry about heat or pregnancy. Of course neutering wasn't so common then.

Regarding conjunctions and such, I'm much more flexible with dialog. As you say, that's the way we speak.

PostScriptor, this was a great story and so funny that I had tears in my eyes (well, and then out of my eyes running down my cheeks when I couldn't stop!). I loved Buster's explanation of the Dog and Cat alien invasions and how Buster and Winnie conspired to bring the two together. Great job, and thanks for participating in the event.
